• A Cappella Music in the Public Worship of the Church by Everett Ferguson, 4th edition

From the publisher, Desert Willow Publishing: The major differences in this edition are that the layout is easier to read, there is a more robust table of contents, there are running headers, multiple errors in the prior manuscript were corrected, Dr. Ferguson augmented some footnotes, there is a Foreword by Jack P. Lewis, there are 5 different indexes

  • how to copy graphics on home page to PowerPoint

I've noticed recently that the homepage on L5 has some great graphics that would be good to use in powerpoint. What is the resource for these? When I click on it, it just opens a passage guide to the passage being illustrated.

Just to be clear. I don't object to the availability of the book. I just didn't like the tone of the promotion that appeared on my homepage. Something like, "Is what you believe about Catholicism [or Baptists or Pentecostals, etc.] correct? Are you sure? Care to have your beliefs challenged?" is much more conducive to civil discourse.

Just seems like an inflammatory defense of Catholicism, characterizing critics as haters, liars and revilers. I would feel the same way about any book that was promoted attacking Catholicism as haters, liars and revilers.

  • Seven Lies about Catholic History

Even though the overview of this prepub seems to have been copied and pasted from Amazon, I question the wisdom of having this show up as is on user's homepages. Pretty much in your face. I think a rewriting of the description would have been in order. http://www.logos.com/product/33178/seven-lies-about-catholic-history?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium

  • Re: How do I close an open book?

Wow. Logos has not done a very good job of making some basic information readily available. Thanks for the links, Lynden. I'm sure they'll be helpful. But this is something that should be fundamental to the using of the app.

Okay, Lynden, I see what you're talking about. Thanks. Still getting used to this thing. But suppose I do want to keep Logos open but close all open resources? As it is it seems I have to do a lot of unnecessary navigating to get to a fresh screen. Then the next time I open up Logos, all the resources I opened before are still there. I want to be able

Are you talking about closing apps on my phone or closing resources in Logos?

Suppose I have opened several books during a particular study session. I seems I have to tap the back button as many times as I have books open to finally be able to close the program. A "close all" feature would be helpful.

Just wanted to share what a pleasant experience it is to read my Bible in Logos with this YouTube of Gregorian chant playing in the background: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beYRO4R04-I . Put your Bible in reading view, turn on the chant and soak it up.

When that was complete I finally had the timeline.
So you are saying it takes time to get the Timeline? I suppose that could be set to music.
If I could put timeline in a bottle, the first thing that I'd like to do..."

This happened to me the other day. The final download and indexing didn't start until at least the third time I started the program. It went through a small download at first and the program said installation was complete. Then, I believe on the third attempt, a large download started and the indexing which took several hours. When that was complete

  • timeline in the ribbon

How about having an option to put an entry from the timeline in the ribbon on the homepage. For instance, along with your reading lists, library preview, etc., you could have a random point in time entry such as "734-732 BC Assyria sieges Palestine". Then you could click on it and it would open up the timeline to that spot. Just a bit of serendipitous
Based on what you said in the other thread...I am suspicious that having 2 resources with the same title may be the issue...maybe Tommy can help you figure out how to rename it.
That was it, Paul. Changed the name, it's gone. Thanks for your help. And thanks to everyone for their input.
