Thx Dave - I've been away hence delay in replying! The resources are in the ResourceManager/Downloaded folder but haven't been copied to the Resources folder. Here's a log where I first opened anoither BST resource using its filename, and then tried to open BSTUS73TH using its filename. It only allowed me to search. 4846.Logos4-5.zip So I guess the

OK, here's what I did: checked that resources are not in Resources folder - they aren't deleted contents of UpdateManager (but not Installers) ResourceManager/Downloaded was already empty; deleted contents of DownloadManager folder restarted Logos4 Logos4 announced updates available - so downloaded them (only 4.2MB though?) restarted Logos4 Logos4 announced

Thanks for all the videos especially - extremely helpful - which reminds me I need to check if there are any new ones!

I am not complaining about this offer! I do see many good things here and will be placing an order once I've trauled through the titles a few times and decided what I need. It is just that when I see a statement like "we are discounting by 50%" I interpret that to mean 50% off the normal sale price! This is what you might call the grammatico-historical
-
Misleading at best in that they claim they're offering a 50% discount, but that's not 50% off their usual sale price, it's 50% off the fictitious "retail price", hence often a lot less than 50%. I suspect that in the UK this would be against trading standards law!

Olyott on Daniel is truly excellent. Not an academic commentary of course, but very readable and usually full of pastoral and applicative insight. I am hoping that this one will hit my desktop soon!

Hi John - thx for the quick reply! Good tip - hadn't used that before. It goes some way to help. It does not seem to work for all Hebrew words though (using Keil&Delitzsch as text). e.g. at Gen 24:10-28 there are three Hebrew words in that section ... the first and third give no information but the second one does. This is probably something to do with

An excellent book on this is: Nothing but the Truth (Brian Edwards) He explains and defends the authority and inspiration of the Bible (including the question of why 39 books in the OT and 27 in the NT). When I was at Uni and started to question and wonder about and be challenged by this issue, my pastor at the time recommended I read that book.

Some good resources defending the text we have would be good. For example, I have been taught that the manuscripts we have are remarkably uniform, far more so than copies of other texts of the same era (e.g. Caeser and other Roman/Greek authors where manuscripts differ widely). The textual divergence of the Biblical texts we have is remarkably small

Wi-Fi Kindle can access the biblia.com site - but does not seem to work well as the book you want to read does not occupy whole screen due to the page design. I need to be able to switch to single book view and get rid of the left hand side. Cannot see how to do this.

e.g. turn off ALL NOTES with one (or two) mouse clicks turn on ALL VISUAL FILTERS with one (or two) mouse clicks It would be handy to be able to turn visual filters on/off "in bulk" - e.g. with Notes I have one Notes file per passage studied, so I have a fair few. It would be good if the drop down menu had a check box or right-click options available

Hi Robert. This is what Kevin was pointing out. But what I would like is to siwtch on/off ALL notes at once - what you're showing switches one Note off in all resources. I guess I need to make the requirement clearer! (Original post edited ...)
-
As an absolute minimum, in Notes we must have: better control over vertical spacing, numbering and bullets: ever tried to create a numbered list with/without bullets see what happens to vertical spacing and if you create a numbered list and then add a bullet between them, all the itmes change to bullets - let's at least have vertical spacing control

[quote user="Ron Corbett"] Just curious ... how long COULD a Note file be before creating a problem of some sort? In other words, could one copy and paste a whole chapter from a book, or a small book into a Note file? If so, would there be a negative impact on any of the functionality within L4? Don't know if any research / testing has been done on

I opened Old Testament Theology on the iPhone app - it opened in the position I left off in Logos4 desktop. I read a chapter. I opened it on Logos4 desktop, and the read position was where I left off on the desktop - i.e. it had not recognised I had read a chapter on the iPhone app. Shouldn't this synch both ways?

I guess the issue here is that clippings cannnot be linked to bible refs like Notes can. What about allowing clippings and notes to be combined in a single file? Then one could add a bible-referenced note to a clippings fille! The clipping could then be accessed from the bible reference in every bible/commentary ...

Add an option to the Outlook export so that the meetings (readings) can be tagged as Private and hence not visible in detail to other users when viewing your calendar.
-
One quick thought - in LDL3 you must do a Synchronise Licenses - do that and then restart L4 ... it may now download more resources if you hads not synched the ETJ before.
