I agree. I was just thinking of that this morning as I was running a search. I assumed that I might come back to that topic someday and would be nice to see that I had already referenced a particular search hit.

  • Retiring the Send-to-Kindle Feature on 3/31 - from the Logos 6 thread

I thought it might be helpful for folks to know that the Send-to Kindle feature is going away at the end of the month. This was posted in the Logos 6 forum. Maybe everyone doesn't hang around there that often.
Due to a combination of technical, legal, and permission issues outside our control, we're going to retire

  • Re: Zondervan practice mercy and reduce this price please?
$70 bucks for all kindle volumes OR only, nah, I'd rather wait for a sale which if calculations are right, we'll have one sooner rather than later ;) DAL
I found the whole OT/NT set on another software platform last month for $100. I waffled back and forth but I couldn't see FL coming anywhere near that price. I don't understand

  • Re: Zondervan practice mercy and reduce this price please?

I had the same frustration. I found an electronic copy of this for another platform that was significantly on sale and took the leap to purchase it. Felt strange to have a resource like that parked in another software tool apart from Logos.

  • Re: Can we discuss pricing questions?
However, I have added a secondary Bible Software program to my Surface Pro to buy resources when the price difference is just too much. I did buy the Bonhoeffer collection because the price was literally hundreds of dollars cheaper. I have seen at least one resource on sale over $1,000 cheaper than Faithlife. The Bonhoeffer

  • Re: Pre-Pub Changes

I suspect that if a prepub has been languishing for years and eventually gets enough interest to go to publication, it probably doesn't make economical sense to bother putting it into publication as it probably won't sell many copies as a regular product.
I'm guessing none of my prepubs have been affected as I haven't had an email. But do we have any examples of the prepub books that have been removed?
I checked on my orders and see that one of my languishing orders is gone but I haven't received an email.
There is a LOT of GOOD stuff there. Worth some perusing. The challenge is to sift through all that to see what I already have. Wish bundles had "New To You" I would almost certainly buy some.
I designed a template for doing a Bible study of a passage that I can import into Clippings (covers each state of Observation, Interpretation and Application).
Paul, I would be curious how you created the template and imported this into Clippings. I am not familiar with that part of using Clippings. I just

    Here is a link that Challies mentioned in his posting. This is from Michael Hyatt who has a blog on leadership but was CEO of Thomas Nelson. He is moving off of ebooks this year and has a list of reasons why. He has been a supporter of them in the past. http://michaelhyatt.com/ebooks-2016.html I have to say that I try to get most of my books in ebook;
I liked Kindle books, too, until my wife passed away & I asked how to get her books (which I've inherited with access to her Amazon account) transferred to mine. After investigation, Amazon folks concluded there's no way. Books are tied to one user account, period.
I discovered a new option that Amazon came out with last

  • Re: Have you been to Israel? What do you recommend I download to my tablet?

We were in Israel in 2014 with a group. I took along my ipad and found it useful on the tour bus to take notes. I am not sure what exists for Android tablets, but I used an app, Notability, that allowed me to use handwriting as well as audio recording and take photos. Our tour guide would speak on the bus and I could take notes as well as record his
I have some catholic friends who study the Bible intently and many who never open a Bible. What is the answer? I do not know, I honestly do think a Lexham English Bible Catholic edition and an expansion of the Faithlife Study Bible to include the Apocrypha would have brought in more users... I know of Catholics who only want

  • Some changes in the Verbum business section

I saw this post earlier today in the Catholic Product forum which states that there is some changes in the staffing of the Verbum platform. Bob has a post in this thread. Basically still in existence, but a trimming of staff to reflect sales vs. efforts. I think that it is a difficult market to penetrate and convince folks to spend money on biblical
Can someone clarify what this implies for Verbum as a product? Will it disappear/be folded in to "regular" (Protestant?) Logos?
I agree. It would be helpful to have some official word from Faithlife before rumors take on a life of their own. I received an email from someone in Verbum sales, Brody, a few moments ago reminding
Bruce thanks for the info here! I tried the iOS book crawler app a while back and it does exactly what I need except it's painfully slow. I manually entered in about 5 books and it started glitching out and running way to slow to use. I figured adding about 4,000 books would only make things worse so gave up on it. I did check out
