• Re: Verbum.com: Academic Discount & Easter Deal Problem

This evening I received an email (unexpectedly) from Logos about this matter. The email indicated that academic discounts on base package upgrades (normatively) end 30 days after you buy a base package. I don't think that this is a good policy, but that's their decision to make, not mine. I certainly appreciated getting 30% off of the package that I
Doesn't work for me. I suggest that you see what happens when you deliberately exclude pages 8 and 17. That will tell you whether Logos is ignoring what you put in wholesale or if it is simply interpreting your input differently than you had expected.

  • Verbum.com: Academic Discount & Easter Deal Problem

At first the Verbum store did not recognize academic discounts for base packages. Now it does. However, with regard to the Easter deal, something is still broken. Formerly, when I clicked to add the Easter deal to my cart, the package upgrade (with 15% off) and Free Practicum appeared in my cart. Now, when I click to add the Easter deal to my cart,

Fewer complaints from actual and would-be customers about having to buy materials deemed heretical in order to own a base package.
Sounds like you want Orthodox Readings of Aquinas . Or perhaps The Ground of Union: Deification in Aquinas and Palamas . Can't find them in Logos yet, though.
Thank you! I really like this idea. As someone who is not familiar with this radio program, I would like to know whether this product might be useful for a Latin rite Catholic interested in learning more about Orthodox history and figures at an academic (or at least non-superficial) level.

  • Palamas and Aquinas

Are there any resources in the Logos/Verbum library (or that should be in it) that deal specifically with the contrasts in the theologies and theological approaches of Thomas Aquinas and Gregory Palamas (ideally from an Orthodox perspective)? (NB: I do not want to start a discussion of their works' respective merits.)

Well, so far Verbum keeps telling me that it's not syncing, although it has synced at least once since it began its consistent synchronization errors. So I have it, and I'll keep it, but for now I may just keep using Logos with Verbum set to Yes for the most part.
