  • Re: Sharing the moblie App

The way Logos works is that since you bought the resources, only you can use them, which is why you can't simply logout and let someone else login... logging out and allowing someone else to login, without deleting your resources, would allow the next person that logged in to have access to your resources, a no-no in the Logos world. When you delete

  • Re: Adding parallel to ipad

Another nice feature or way to get parallel versions is to touch the right edge of the reading pane (assuming you are reading in landscape mode) and the reading pane will automatically split into two views, with the small half/quarter gray circle at the bottom between the two views. You can touch and drag this circle to adjust the two screens, or the

  • Re: Sort for Notes Documents When Adding a Highlight

Not being a beta tester for the mobile apps, I can't see the referenced thread. Nonetheless, I hope it's an easy fix to get back to most recently used!

  • Sort for Notes Documents When Adding a Highlight

Before updating to the current version (5.20) I noticed that when adding a highlight and I wanted to use a different document to store the highlight/note, the document list was sorted by "most recent" (very useful since I have a lot of documents where I store highlights). In version 5.20 the sort is now alphabetic and I don't see a way to revert back

  • Re: iPad searching when offline inconsistent

I just tried similar off-line searches... some worked, some did not. For those that did not work, I deleted the range, added a new range covering the same area, and it worked! Maybe there has been a "behind-the-scenes" change that made older defined search ranges invalid. Anyway, try deleting that search range and add a new one covering the same area

  • Re: Split Screen in Reading Plan

What you probably did to split the screen, in case you still don't know how that happened, was touch the far right edge of the viewing area. Tapping that border will split the screen. As Alabama said, you can then use the slider at the bottom of the screen to resize the two windows, or remove one by sliding hite button all the way to the side.

  • Re: Problems when wifi is not available

Thanks, Kevin... your reply makes sense. I suspect that when the local resource wasn't found, its "version" wasn't available so when the online resource was found and aversion comparison was made, between online and local, the local not having a version, didn't signal a "lower" version needing replacement. Updating the resources one-by-one certainly

  • Re: Problems when wifi is not available

Well, Kevin, thanks for following up. i understand what you're saying but it certainly was confusing, what I was seeing in the app. The library list understood which resources had been downloaded but that obviously was incorrect. It would have been helpful that when the portions of the app looking for the download that wasn't really there would have

  • Re: Problems when wifi is not available

OK, thanks. Is this something I can expect a fix for or do I need to start removing and re-downloading my downloaded resources? The "Library" listing knows which resource are downloaded because they're the only ones listed when I'm offline. The meat of the app, however, doesn't see or understand the availability of downloaded resources. A little frustrating

  • Re: Problems when wifi is not available

It started after I upgraded to iOS 9.1 and then the backup/ restore. On my iPad 2, running ios 8.2, and Logos 5 all was OK. I did the Logos 5 upgrade before the iOS 9 upgrade and I think things were OK, but I don't specifically remember running Logos in that configuration without wifi.

Kevin - I did those three steps but no change... Resources that were downloaded are not available, resources I remove and redownload work OK. Any other suggestions! Did the logs show anything?

Have you had a chance to look at the logs I submitted? Did they indicate what the problem/ solution might be?

  • Re: Problems when wifi is not available

Kevin - It occurs with all downloaded resources that should be available when I don't have access to Internet. It's as if the software first looks to see if the resource is available online and gets hung waiting for the internet response, or it has lost track of what is downloaded and assumes the resource is not downloaded and goes to look for it.

  • Re: Problems when wifi is not available

Kevin - yes, in fact, I did recently upgrade to iOS 9. I bought a new iPad Air 2, upgraded it and my old but trusty iPad 2 both to iOS 9, then did a backup from my iPad 2 and restore to my iPad Air 2. Removing and re-downloading one resource cleared the problem for that resource. Please tell me I don't have to re-download all my resources. (I submitted

Alabama - I removed and re-downloaded on of the resources I was having problems with and it seems to work. I hope I don't have to do that with all downloaded resources. i already submitted a report and see that Kevin responded.

  • Problems when wifi is not available

When using wifi, all works as it should. When I am without wifi I have problems. Specifically, I cannot see the bible text for some bibles I have downloaded, nor does the verse selector display correctly. Trying to display the table of contents for the bibles, or other downloaded resources, says Loading, but never continues. When I bring up a daily

  • Re: Server downtime highlights mobile app dependency flaws, just saying...

A sad situation, indeed. Resources not downloaded were not available because the servers were down (understandable), but even resources you might have downloaded to have available at all times, with or without the servers, were also not available because of a flaw in the Faithlife server system which effectively erased from user devices resources they

  • Re: iPod Touch-Library

And after the servers went down, for many people it didn't matter if you had downloaded resources or not- your resources not downloaded were not available because the servers were down, and many downloaded resources were not available because of a flaw in the Faithlife server structure, effectively erasing many resources you might have downloaded to

  • Re: Search for Highlights on iOS?

I'm not sure if it's doable in your situation, but a possible work-around would be to put your "promise" highlights in their own Notes document, then you could bring up those highlights by opening that document. I have done this in the past when I make a highlight and think it might be good to group it with similar passages. Just a suggestion.

  • Re: Adding Bible Translations

About a year or so ago I populated my "Top Bibles" by changing my "Preferred Bible" (in the Settings). When I use the Text Comparison from the Tools menu, I then get comparisons from these 5 Top Bibles. Not sure that method of populating Top Bibles still works, but certainly worth a try. Make sure your last Preferred Bible is really your preferred bible
