Hi Bill, In looking at your internet speed there is going to be a certain amount of slowness. You indicate that it's working right now. In the future, I would suggest you leave the app running overnight to give enough time for downloading and indexing to take place. 4GB of RAM will affect your indexing speed. If it takes

The log indicates 4 GB RAM, which is inadequate these days. 8 GB is the minimum for 64-bit systems.
Agreed, not a lot of RAM, but I never got a warning that I was out of RAM, and the monitor showed no swap being used, so apparently the system wasn’t asking for more.
Bill, How much RAM do you have?
Yes, that MBP has 4 GB RAM.

Yes, that MBP has 4 GB RAM.

Yes, I had already installed Logos 7 on my other MBP, only 3 years old (and it has an SSD)... one I keep in my home, the other in my office... but I had been using Logos 4 up until about 5 months ago!
-
I think I have solved the problem, but first the actions I took that DIDN'T work... I restarted Logos 7 multiple times, always the same result: 1.57 GB to download, 0% complete, Preparing library... I rebooted my MBP, which obviously meant I restarted Logos 7 once again, same results. Each time I was able to use the program and loaded several of my

Yes, I have an old device: late 2008. I have a 1 TB spinning hard drive, 500 GB used, 500 GB available.

I recently updated my MacBook Pro to Logos 7 (from Logos 4), and the program itself seems to be working OK but the top of the screen indicates it has 1.57GB to download (0% complete) and is Preparing library... which doesn't complete. My network status shows about 14-21 KB/sec download (I have 3 MB download speed available), and the program is only

I now have Mac computers - never liked any of the Windows system after XP - but back in the Logos 4/5 days, there were large discrepancies in capabilities between the Windows and Mac versions of the Logos products, with the Mac versions lagging behind and lacking many features. Now the parity is more or less equal, but I had forgot about upgrading
-
Two reasons I haven't upgraded: 1) when Logos 5 came out I was still using Windows XP and it wouldn't run Logos 5 (required Windows Vista or higher) 2) I don't like upgrading for the sake of upgrading, nor spending more money when I'm not using all the resources I currently have. Logos 4 worked fine for me up until today, and may work again tomorrow
-
This just started happening today, not sure if it's a server problem or something wrong with my profile. When I start Logos on my desktop (MacBook Pro), it runs a lot of CPU cycles (100-200%) for about 1 minute and then crashes. If I turn off wifi and restart, all OK. I rebooted my MBP and Logos still crashes. MBP with OS X El Capitan, version 10.11

Do the reading completion circles not give you what you are looking for on the Library tab? The dates aren't always correct but the portion read seems to be correct.

Thanks, Kevin.

Thanks, Brandyn, for looking into this. As I mentioned originally, this has been going on for some time... several months at least, maybe a year or more, so I have shutdown and restarted the application and my iPad numerous times, even updating the Logos Bible! app and iPad OS several times. Three other things to note: 1) I am using Favorites to create

Change sort to title, then to author and back to recent yields the same display: the resources are sorted correctly but the info on the right is still incorrect.

I've just read passages in the same four resources, and used the BBC to look up something in one of the readings. The new listing is like this:
-
Everyday I read from Alza tus ojos, then an OT reading from NLT and another from NASB, then a NT reading from RV60, so I opened and read from those 4 books yesterday, February 23, and in that order, so the resources are displayed in the correct order. The resources displayed next are also recently used (not yesterday), and I think they are also in the

When my library is sorted by recent, the resources really are sorted by recent, but the last access info (right side) is incorrect, and not at all indicative of the last access. See the screenshot. The resources are sorted correctly, but the info on the right (last used) is incorrect. Has been like this for some time, but is minor. bill

I just sent the log files and a message...

For some time now, TDNT has been in a constant state of wanting to be updated. Every time I open the Bible! App, it says TDNT needs to be updated. I update the resource, and it appears to be downloaded, but after siting and restarting the Bible! app, it says TDNT needs to be updated again. See screenshots... Two resources need updating... i Update All
