Hmmm ... my BHS 2.0 is english gloss followed by german gloss (or if 2 words, 2 pairs). My BHS WIVU is strictly english. I assume you're talking 2.0?

Well, at least I was intro'd to a historical movement (Logos resource, almost): https://www.christianitytoday.com/history/people/activists/walter-rauschenbusch.html And Logos even has his collection too.

  • Re: Basic, not too technical lexicon that's keyed to Strong's numbers

You likely bought a bronze or up, a Connect subscription, or a feature package at some point. The problem is the price-point for Strongs inline. The interlinears typically start pretty high. Stand-alone w/Strongs are cheaper (ergo which translation). Then add a cheap Strongs lexicon (ergo, how sorted). That AMG above did it all for $79. I loved it

The perfect solution: https://www.logos.com/product/9438/amg-bible-essentials Logos used to sell. But this illustrates ... which translation did you want (with inline Strongs), and did you want the Strongs lexicon ordered by english, or Strongs number? Logos has both.

  • Re: What do i need to buy to get Greek dictionary support and cross referencing?

Jon, a reason we can't quite answer, is that we don't know what you have now ... the 95 free books that come with app. It's conceivable you have a greek basic lexicon, and a long-press on Shriveners or Stephans TR will give you the basics ... lemma, morphs, definition. As Alabama notes, starting in english needs an interlinear (KJV) which delivers an

[quote user="Dave Hooton"]Some of Google's "ease" is provided in Logos, so you should know that a phrase requires quotation marks at the start and end, else the words are treated as required in any order (AND). Then you can separate words with a comma to indicate one OR the other. BEFORE and AFTER are a variation of AND, specifying word order. This

Depends. Do you need it? It's the more modern Gesenius from a usage standpoint. A century's worth.

Ranking. I don't see any need for excuses for Logos. Many on this forum have built search engines. My impression, Logos has a single query, where multiple (or internal macros) with ranking evaluation is the bare minimum after Windows95. Demanding exact syntax is silly, except for high-end engines in specialized apps. Logos is pastors. When Phil asked
