This is when they have a bit of fun and just as you are getting ready for the download they move the date again... I take the final step as when you get an email telling you it is ready and you will be charged. John

  • Re: Vatican II Documents on Pre-pub!

Yes many thanks for bringing to my attention. I hardly ever check pre pub as so rarely anything of interest for me. This is not yet on the dedicated catholic page either (probably too modern material as only 50 years old!). Catechism next please! John

It would be useful if they would make the Catechism and the Documents of Vatican II available, and perhaps this is a more realistic expectation. Oh, and the New Jerome Biblical Commentary would be nice.
I'd also like to see the papal encyclicals.
As a Catholic I certainly would like

  • Re: Anchor Yale Bible Reference Library ship date

I do mind this constant seemingly random moving of dates. Waiting all week and now pushed back again another week at the last moment.. It is quite a hefty amount of money and frustrating to be toatally unable to plan when it will be gone!
Just to be fair, the resources being delayed are all the ones I have really been waiting for, for a long time! Maybe just ship to me then? :-)
• Pre Pub Payment

I have just had a nasty shock as my pre pubs start to come to contract. I was always curious how you put on a payment plan and of course with a bit of searching I found you can't. It was ever thus I suppose, those with most money get the cheapest price! I do gather though that logos need full production costs up front. I have now deleted nearly 1k USD

  • Early Church Fathers Editions

Prompted by the recent update I have been searching my library. I have scholars platinum, I presume you automatically get the protestant edition. I would prefer the catholic edition but is there much difference? Has anybody succesfully swopped? many thanks John

  • Re: Apple iPad and Logos

One can get a 'good' laptop in UK for 400 pounds so if you use an exchange rate 600 dollars. I believe with a massive 64gb drive ipad will be 800 dollars. Laptop is 260gb drive. Only advantage I can see is the battery life but logos 4 runs great. I would be suprised if we see in the UK this year anyway and Apple are planning their international pricing

  • Re: Any Resources More Useful On Paper?

I guess it sometimes depends on circumstances, I have to use whatever I can depending what the wife and 2 kids will allow me. I haven't really got logos on tap yet. Also because I am relatively new to logosI am a bit like a kid in a candy store and tend to flit around. If you are sitting at a table with a book you are generally more disciplined. Again

  • Re: Question about downloadable resources versus shipped disks

I was/am scratching my head on this as well. i never had 3, as a RC got Collegeville cd to supplement my downloaded base package and waited here in London for it to be posted from USA. I open the cd ring USA and read the serial number 2 weeks later . Why couldn't they read the serial number and enable the download before posting? Do I really need it

  • RC Bibles in Bible study base package

Hi I am sorry I just can't find expanded details on the bibles included. Can anyone kindly tell me which have the Deuterocanonical books (if any). Just working out what I need to add, which unfortunately can't include the NJB because I live in England! Funny how bibleworks includes it.... many thanks John
