  • Re: Great ideas for arranging your commentary collections!

Hi Kevin. Yes, it took a long time to begin with. But now I am on top of it, it's just a case of renaming new commentaries I purchase. I started by working through a book of the bible. In my case I began at the beginning, Genesis, and renamed all my commentaries relating to that book.... and so on. If I was teaching on a book later on, I would work

  • Great ideas for arranging your commentary collections!

I thought it could helpful to discuss how we arrange our commentary collections. I'm very interested to know what others are doing? Over the years I have renamed all my commentaries into a format with [1] the book covered, [2] the surname of the author(s), and [3] the series it is part of. I have then sorted the commentaries into various collections

Should also say that another excellent foray into the OT is Epic of Eden by Sandra Richter. Sandy is a great theologian, incredibly accessible and one of the most astute and personable professors I have met and listened to over the years. Here is the link to her book: https://www.logos.com/product/52911/the-epic-of-eden-a-christian-entry-into-the-old

Thanks for this Rosie. I hadn't come across that paper before! Bruce's lectures can also be found at the Regent College website. I worked through his Regent OT Theology Course a while ago and it's excellent - the NT Theology course by Gordon Fee is outstanding! Obviously geared more to the seminarian, but even for the layperson (such as me), I found

  • Re: Collections Question

Paul You sound like you are on the right track! I have spent a good few years with my commentaries, filtering out the best, renaming them (i.e Book / Author / Series), tagging them (i.e. critical, pastoral, application etc.) and then assigning them into collections. I have then produced a guide with the best of my commentaries arranged in the various

Thanks Andrew for looking into this, it makes the favourites folders unusable where you have a significant number of folders and items in each folder!

  • How to find all references in the Hebrew scriptures to the exodus theme

I understand that the Hebrew text refers to the exodus theme more than 120 times (Ray Vander Laan - That the World May Know - Vol 09. Fire on the Mountain). Do you have any suggestions as to how I can double check this? Many thanks Mark

  • Re: Milestone Search with Lexicons

Thank you to all of you for the input. So I am right in saying that you can’t use a milestone search using the Lemma (Greek or Hebrew Headword) within a Lexicon? If not this, could be an incredibly useful milestone search capability to include in a future release.

  • Re: Milestone Search with Lexicons

Hey Bradley Thanks for the response :) that’s my current modus operandi. Just looking to save some time by getting to the relevent reference under the Lemma via a quick search. I understand I could also do this via a proximity search but thought that a milestone search would be far better. Do you know of anyway of doing a milestone search within

  • Milestone Search with Lexicons

Can anyone help please. I am wanting to do a 'milestone' search within my lexicons using the lemma headword. Have tried it out a number of ways but just can't seem to get it to work. If you go into any of the lexicons and right click on the lemma, the third choice on the right hand side of the contextual menu identifies that the lemma and the info associated

  • Re: Searching for 'Spirit' in the NT

Thanks. What I was looking for was to be able to find the various titles attributed to the 'Spirit' in the NT. I think the only way is for me to do a Person search or word search for 'Spirit' and check each entry. Thank you for your help.

  • Searching for 'Spirit' in the NT

Hi All, A quick Q I am sure I should know.... but don't.... I am trying to find all references to the 'Spirit' in the NT and how He is referred to i.e "the Spirit of your Father" "the Holy Spirt" "the Spirit" etc... If there a quick way of me finding this info without doing a case-sensitive search for 'Spirit' and then looking though each passage. Hope
