  • Go Box and Liturgical Dates

Hi, I have the Verbum 360 Training Videos and one of the approaches mentioned was using the Go Box to open the Liturgical Layout for a particular liturgical day. So if you wanted to open the liturgical layout for Easter or Pentecost, you could type either Easter or Pentecost in the Go Box and it would generate a drop down list with specific upcoming

  • Exegetical Guide - Word by Word

Hi, I'm involved in a Lenten book read that deals with the Prodigal Son. When I type in the verses to an Exegetical Guide (Luke 15:11–32), the Word-by-Word stops generating anything at verse 25. So basically there is no Word-by-Word for verses 26-32. Is there a limit on how many verses you can do at a given time? Also, there are may words in the verses

It seems to synchronize okay. The triangle cannot be clicked on or hovered over to get any idea of what it is there for???

Probably a simple questions but there is a little triangle in the synchronization area of my dashboard on my Macbook (see image). Does anyone know what that is?

  • Tagging Resources

Hi, Is there a list of resources that are tagged, in the process of being tagged, or not tagged at all? When I was watching a training video, they did a Bible search for and only got hits in the NT in the RSVCE. But if they searched the NRSVCE, they got hits in both OT and NT. The explanation was that the RSVCE only had the NT tagged while the NRSVCE

  • Re-downloading a single resource

Hi, I'm having trouble with my RSVCE. The speaker labels show up in the middle of a word and don't refer to the correct person speaking. Also, sympathetic highlighting doesn't work and and when I do a bible search for a thing, e.g., , the hit results are way off and have nothing to do with manna (see attached image). So I thought if I could re-download

  • Scroll Bar vs. Arrows at bottom of resource

Hi, I use Verbum 6 and some documents have a scroll bar on the right and others have two triangle arrows at the bottom for scrolling. Is there a setting for this or is it a default based on the resource? Also, when I use the mouse wheel to scroll through the document, it works differently depending on the type of scrolling the document has. If it's

  • Links to External Websites and Logos.com in Passage Guide

Hi, In one of the training videos for Logos 6 (Passage Guide), a passage guide is opened and a search for a bible reference is done. At the bottom of the resulting passage guide in the training video are links to "Bookstore" (Logos.com I think) and then several other external websites like Gracewaymedia.com, Sermonaudio.com, etc. When I run a passage

  • Re: Identifying Catholic Resources and Catholic Collections

Steve, Thanks, yes that is the road I was going down. I do have some collections that came with the package I purchased and I also have the training videos where they build a couple more collections using books that they suggest. Then I have a few of my own as well. But I'm sure there are many other collections put together by users who know much more

  • Identifying Catholic Resources and Catholic Collections

Hi, I was just wondering if there is a list of all the Catholic resources available on Verbum and from Logos that can be identified within the software. I know that there are community tags that give indications as to what is Catholic, but a specific Catholic indicator would be a nice thing to have so that when we use a resource, we can be certain it

  • Tutorial Window Keeps Closing

Hi, I have a couple tutorials I am going through (Practicum, Verbum 360, and Quick Start for Logos 6. While watching the video (in a floating window), suggestions are made to follow along in your software. But when I follow in the software and generate a topic guide or passage guide by using the Go box, the training window closes and I have to re-open

  • Printing the selection criteria for my collections

Hi, Does anyone know if there is a way to print off a summary of each of your own collections that shows the collection criteria (and plus/minus resources) along with a total list of the books in the collection? I know you can get a list of the books using the Print/Export Option, but I can't seem to print the criteria used to generate the collection

Thanks for the input everyone - I like the skimming idea with the potential to maybe dig into a specific aspect of at a later point it's helpful! That way I pick up the general idea of what's going on.

  • Reading the Old Testament

I was just wondering -- When people are reading the OT, do you actually read through all the lineage accounts and the accounts where land is being parceled out to the various tribes? If so, how do you keep it all straight and what do you use it for? Thanks!
