  • Threads in the Discussions Tab

Hi, I started a CS Lewis Book Group ( https://faithlife.com/cs-lewis-book-group/about ) and we are noticing that when we use the Discussions Tab to share thoughts about the book that the discussions are not maintained by thread - each post is a separate post. The posts under the News Tab are however organized by thread. Is there something I am doing

  • Tagging and multiple computers

Hi, I tagged a bunch of resources on my home laptop (Mac) and when I opened up Logos (actually Verbum) on my work laptop, I couldn't see the tags I had entered at home. Are mytags specific to each computer? If so is there a way to get mytags from one computer to another? Thanks, Mike

  • Re: Reading Plan "Adjust Plan from Here"

Hi, Not sure if this option has been brought up but, it would be nice if the "Adjust Plan From Here" option had the options to push the readings out as well as compress the remaining readings into the remaining time available. That way you could still finish when planned but your readings would be slightly longer each day. Seems like a simple fix.

Thanks for the input. How about a related question. Do you use your iPad/iPhone during Mass or other services for access to readings and/or the Bible? If so do you think it is a potential for "scandal" or disruption, i.e., people thinking you are texting or whatever? Keep in mind we are not supposed to do things that might cause scandal to others. • Witnessing for Others

Hi, Has anyone else ever thought this. In the old days before a digital version of the Bible, when you were reading your Bible in a public place, someone else might come up to you and strike up a conversation if they saw your Bible. In effect you were being a witness to the faith. Now, when reading on an iPhone or iPad, there is no particular outward

  • Re: When does book loving become idolatry?

I think as long as you are thanking God for the gifts you have, including the theological books, you have not yet crossed the line.

  • Re: Various Hyperlink/footnotes in RSV 2nd Edition

Brian, Thanks a million - that is very helpful. By the way, welcome back to the Church - not sure when you came back, but I have always said, once a Catholic always a Catholic. I'm a cradle Catholic - Catholic grade school, Catholic high school, and Catholic college. Same for our kids (or else home-schooled). Not always the best cradle Catholic, but

Brian and alabama, I have been referring to the RSV Bible, not the study guide (which comes in the package). Thanks for the help. I guess I have to play around with it for a while and see what each different hyperlink brings up. But you have sent me in the right direction Mike

Alabama, Yes, that is the link. I have looked in the front of the Bible (the details prior to the Genesis text), and don't notice any reference to the codes I posted previously. The additional information that is provided when you hover over the codes is stuff like references to other citations in the Bible, notes about alternate translations, explanatory

  • Various Hyperlink/footnotes in RSV 2nd Edition

Hi, I have the RSV 2nd Edition Catholic Version Bible that I regularly use. There are numerous hyperlinks that provide additional detail when you hover over them or click them. Among them are the following: *, **, §, §§, †, ‡, lower case letters, and ¶ (there may be more too) Is there a rhyme or reason as to why one is used vs. the other? Is there a
