Alabama - Thanks for that info. I'll try to keep that in a fully functioning portion of my gray matter. Jon
-
Jeannie - What device are you working with? If a Mac or PC, select "Tools", then "Program Settings".You'll find the font setting near the bottom of the Program Settings in a group called "Text Display." The specific item is called "Default Resource Text Size." For Apple mobile devices you need to be reading a resource. In the upper right-hand corner

The below problem is my ignorance. The calendar entries were marked as all day events and my calendar we set to not show all day events. I discovered this when I got notified of my reading for tomorrow. After investigating another .ics file I discovered this. However, could someone confirm that the "by Chapter" option will preclude the loading of the

iOS 8.1.2 is now out. Just installed it. Not having any problems.
-
Nathan & Alabama, Let me know if you're going to mess with the "nuclear" problem. I want to get as far away as possible. And thanks for the heads-up. Jon

I'm happy the 2-finger scroll still works (turn scrolling view off and use swipe 2 fingers up). I don't use the 2-finger scroll except to position the visible verses in a way the most benefits me at the time. I like having as much of scripture on the screen was possible. I use a pretty small font so I get ~14 verses per screen, in 2 columns.

Actually, it's not a popup window. The text comparison window replaces the original text window.
-
In the upper right hand corner of the text comparison popup window you can select the collection to compare. You bring up the text comparison popup by swiping up on the verse you want to compare.

Too late. I already reinstalled the engine (per tech support). No change. I think it's a database problem. May have to reload everything. Will talk to support in the morning. Thanks for all y'all's feedback. One good thing. I'm a Mac user with Yosemite. Didn't have any problems downloading from Faithlife. Tomorrow may be a different matter.

I put the same search criteria in both input fields. I'm having a problem with visual filters too. I think I have a bad Extended Crossgrade install. Mybe time to reinstall.
-
I used the Biblical search looking for "in me", "in you", "in them" in John in the LEB and got 37 hits. When using the Inline Search I don't get any hits. Is this the expected behavior? Thanks, Jon

I tried another solution to the Horner Reading Plan problem. I put a set of 100 bible chapters in the Reading Plan tool under "Generate a Reading Plan", set the boundary to Chapter, and set the duration to 10 days. I expected to get 10 chapters per day but I didn't. So it appears Logos is not honoring user configuration in this tool. Was my expectation

Andrew - If I wanted to create Horner's Bible Reading Plan (10 non-consecutive chapters a day for 365 days), do you have a suggestion for creating that plan other than manually entering each day's reading as a session? Thanks, Jon
-
Justin & TCBlack - I've not figured out how the custom reading plan tool works. Can either of you help me? I'm pretty far along on an Excel spreadsheet that will create Horner's reading plan. At least it will create the daily readings. I need to know how to format the output to make it easy to put into the reading plan tool. I started this last year

Thanks, Dave. My statement was poorly worded. I was attempting to included the base package info in case someone thought it germane. I was at Logos 5 Gold and crossgraded to Logos 6. I understand highlighting "should" work as in version 5, but that's the point. For me it's not working. Maybe it is a Yosemite problem. I have a problem with my brain:
-
Highlighting from the Highlighting tool doesn't work. I created a shortcut, that didn't work. I tried a Visual Filter, that works. I upgraded to Logos 6 Gold via the Extended Crossgrade. My Mac OS X is Yosemite (10.10). Any ideas why Highlighting doesn't work? Jon
-
Same problem. My Mac is 10.10 (Yosemite) and my iPad is 8.1 I've installed the Logos 6 Extended Crossgrade.
-
Jason, I followed your directions and had no problem. I'm on a Macbook Pro running Yosemite (10.10). Jon

I not a big fan of the new scrolling Homepage. I prefer the functionality that is in Logos 5. Is there a way to implement the paging functionality that was in Logos 5?
-
I agree. Linking Clause Search with Visual Filter would be very helpful and a big time-saver. I appreciate the difficulty of linking english bibles (or what ever language) with the Lexham Hebrew Bible since verses don't map directly but this would be a very cool thing. Not holding my breathe.
