  • Re: The Citation Style Selector

Shoot! Editing time is over for this. Yes, mine defaults to APA. When I am doing a whole bunch of citations in quick succession, it is a little annoying to always have to double check. But I don't want to complain too much because thank God I don't have to go through and do all of them myself!

Thanks Rosie, I'll e-mail them. I hope they can fix this, but if not that's ok. I'm not attached to my post count.

  • Re: BDAG PRO/CONS

Let me say: I love the BDAG. I am also a student of Greek, like you. I have taught myself for about 4 years. So I am a "little Greek." I highly recommend it. Settle for nothing less. It's not too scholarly for us beginners. In fact, it will make your experience smooth sailing to know that with links to open panels, you don't have to spend so much time

  • Logos' Blog Not on Homepage

Despite being ticked, it does not appear, and has not for a very long time. No problem accessing the blog from my web browser. I remember having this problem in Logos 4 as well. Any ideas?

Rosie, I just about fell off my chair that was so funny! Sorry I didn't say anything before. I am just amazed that I see you commenting on so many different resources. You must really love books, and I mean LOVE books! And you are so open-minded.

There must be another way to exchange e-mails, but I don't know what it is. I'll try to say it in a non conspicuous way. Mine is fresh underscore air at live d0t c0m, if you can read that.

It works great for me!! Wondows 8 is awesome, Logos 5 is awesome! Ratzlaff brings back memories. There aren't too many around, so it strikes me when I hear it. I am 1/2 Ratzlaff-- my mother's side (Low German Mennonite). Good to see that there are some Ratzlaffs using Logos Bible software!

  • Re: Hebrew Resources Blank

Thanks Dave, that did the trick! I wish I had thought of that! I remember always having to restart with Windows XP, but that was many years ago, so it didn't occur to me as I have Win 8 Pro.

  • Hebrew Resources Blank

Whenever I open a Hebrew resource, such as Beginning Biblical Hebrew or Halladay or BHS, I get a complete blank. Some of them have a character here and there, but they are mostly blank.

No,a firewall or antivirus is not causing the problem. I have downloaded Logos several times in the past here. I recently refreshed my PC which is why I am downloading again.

Wow, that was incredible, I guess I didn't read the point you made about already having Carson. In that case I draw a blank. Hope I can be of help next time.

Hey Y'all. Same here. I can barely use the app at all. It won't download anything. What a bummer! Was hoping to read D.A. Carson on my iPhone!

  • Re: Anything worth buying from March Madness 2013?

I picked up a slew of D. A. Carson resources. May I recommend his New Testament Commentary Survey, Exegetical Fallacies, and Intro to the New Testament? I personally like Carson's writing style. It's conversational, but erudite and I often learn new words from him (no problem if you can double-click in Logos). He is in the solid middle ground of evangelicalism

  • Re: What do you use Logos for?

Hi! I used to just mess around with Logos, but now I use it for my seminary studies. Currently working on a B. Theol. and so far it has been quite helpful. The drawback about electronic books though seems to be that, despite the few pages and descriptions offered on the website, it is impossible to truly skim the book to see if it would be worth buying
