  • Re: Tyndale Commentary Download

I received a notice today that my CD-ROM was shipping, but I have no download option. For those wondering why no previous download option was offered, it may be that the publisher insists on the physical media being sold. . . just a thought

Hmmm. . . interesting note dept: When I set up my OT and NT reading plans -- all breaks are chapter breaks not pericope breaks. I now have a Proverbs BRP that breaks on chapters as well -- wonder why this doesn't work with Psalms???

The best part of Logos 3 BRP was the Psalm-a-day and my chapter of Proverbs each day reading plans. Then I could break down the rest of scripture as I saw fit as well. . . Maybe one day. . . I also recall that Logos 3 allowed for pericope boundaries or chapter boundaries when setting up the reading plan. Please Logos give us back these options. . .

  • Re: Blog Alert: Incorrect Information!

It's Jan 1, 2010 -- Logos still has inaccurate information on the Upgrade page. I too have many items listed as "new" to me that have been previously purchased. Even with the assurances given in early December, this gives me pause. Since the page highlights "Books you own" and "Books you get" I am concerned with the many volumes of "Books you get" as

  • Libronix & Blind Users

I have recently been working with a friend (who is blind) at getting him up and running using a Bible program with the JAWS reading software. Does anyone have any suggestions at how to perhaps streamline Libronix so that my friend can easily open the program and navigate to a particular Bible passage without too much trouble. Current set up opens Libronix

  • Bible Reading Plans & Logos4

I understand how to set up BRPs in Logos 4 -- what I don't understand is how to get the user selected title for the BRP to show up in the File drop down menu. Let me explain: I have an ESV Reading Plan for 13 weeks that covers the NT (Acts-Rev). I also have an ESV Reading Plan for 13 weeks that covers the OT (Gen - Deut). I have Titled these: NT Quarter

  • Re: Resource Paths for Logos4

Thanks Bill, I think I'm getting the concept. So, If we had resources outside of Libronix folders do we need to put them in Libronix' general resource folder? And do all resources need to be in the general resource folder or can we keep the sub folders created for things like PBBs and LIX/LSF resources? This is where it gets confusing for me. As for

  • Re: Resource Paths for Logos4

Randall, I'm not trying to be negative, just trying to understand how this all works. Just how does Logos4 find our resources? Does it do an entire HDD scan to find them each time we ask it to refresh resources (is this still available to be done?). Or is it just looking within the Logos and Libronix folders. I ask, because before we could put resources

Thanks Bill -- found it now. Still, is there the ability to permanently add additional resource paths as in Logos 3?

  • Re: Resource Paths for Logos4

So, It looks like the short answer is that Logos4 has lost the ease of use functionality of Logos 3 when it comes to identifying and including resource paths in a quick and easy manner.

  • Resource Paths for Logos4

Where can we find and update the resource paths within Logos4? In Logos 3 this was under Tools | Options | General | Resource Paths. Thanks for your help.

Please forgive the double post. This posting did not appear on the forums after completion and so I went to the Logos4 forum to ask the question, hoping that posting would take -- then of course, both showed up!

  • Bible Reading Plan -- A Psalm a Day for 150 days

In Logos 3.x I was able to develop a Psalm a Day reading plan through the BRP. The Data for the Reference field looked like below and produced a plan when set for 150 days that gave an entire Psalm for each day. When I attempt to do this in Logos4, I get the Psalms broken up, even though I set the beginning date and end date at 150 days. . . The Daily

  • Bible Reading Plan -- Psalm a Day for 150 days

In Logos3.x I was able to have a daily psalm as a Reading Plan -- the input for the section looked like below and the option for timelinw was at 150 days. Now when I figure out 150 days for the end date of the BRP -- I get the pasalms broken up -- I do not want this -- I want the functionality of the old BRP :-( So far I haven't figured out how to force
