  • New Installation with Office 365 SmartTags Won't Work

Installed Logos 7 on a new computer with custom installation, as I put Logos on the D drive which is a 1 TB SSD drive. I've followed every direction in the wiki article on SmartTags, and the commands report that they execute correctly, however, SmartTags just does not show up in Word 365. In Word 365 File/Options/Add Ons does indicate the Logos SmartTag

  • Re: New Computer Questions, Please

Many thanks, Mark, for your very helpful and clear direction. The new computer has a 1 TB SSD drive in addition to a 2 TB SATA drive. Any advice on installing Logos on the SSD?

  • New Computer Questions, Please

After almost eight years, I'm having to upgrade to a new computer. I'm wondering about a couple of things in setting it up with Logos. I'm a Logos Now subscriber, so my guess is that I would download and install Logos 6 and then let the membership do the upgrade to Logos 7? Also, I plan to copy the library contents from another computer rather than

  • Smart Tags Logos 6.7-SR1

I am in utter disbelief that with the 6.7 SR-1 update, SmartTags is broken again! This is getting really old. I plan to go through the steps of running the registrations AGAIN, but I really don't think I'm going to bother if this keeps happening with future updates. ... The power shell script did work, but only after restarting both Logos and Word.

Thanks so much, Bill, your batch file with appropriate changes worked! I'll be saving that information for sure!

  • Re: Smart Tags for Logos version 6.7

The Repair solution worked yesterday and SmartTags began to function properly. However, when I start Logos and Word today, SmartTags are gone again. Tried running the Repair again, but to no avail. Also tried registering again, but that fails also with the same error message as before.

Dave, your direction on the other SmartTags post to repair Logos through Control Panel did the trick! Many thanks!

Ah, Dave! You're a genius. The repair Logos worked! Many, many thanks. You are a great blessing to many on the forums, and I know I'm not the only one who appreciates your help!

Thank you for replying, Dave. The second command I used was: regsvr32 %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos\System\L4SmrtTg.dll This is the one that results in the error message that the module could not load and could not be found. The first command, which was successful (at least there was no error message after executing it), was "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos4\System\LogosCom

Dave, I'm having the same issue as AJ. I tried your register command, with the System folder, and it fails. Mine indicates the User module does not load and the module cannot be found. But I know absolutely that the dll is in the specified path. I've tried everything, including copying the dll to windows/sysWOW64 and trying to register it there as well

Glad it worked for you, James. I still get the same error message as before when I try it. Thanks for the information, though!

  • Re: Smart Tags for Logos version 6.7

For anyone who may be able to help, I tried running the command regsvr32 %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos4\System\L4SmrtTg.dll since the L4SmrtTg.dll is now located back in the System folder in Logos 6.7, but I get an error message indicating that the User module did not load and could not be found, but the path shown is absolutely the correct one--in other words

Yes, James, I've got the exact same problem, except with Office 2010. Once again a Logos update has resulted in the loss of Smart Tags. This makes the nth time this has occurred. I'm suspecting the problem has to do with the fact that Logos moved the SmartTags dll to a different folder, and we would have to manually fix it, but so far I've not been

Unbelievable! With the arrival of Logos 6.7, SmartTags no longer work (again). Does anyone have an idea what the secret might be to fixing it this time around? It's a feature I use every time I use Logos and is a huge time-saver for me. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! I am NOT using Word 2016. I'm using Word 2010.

I am working in Joshua in both the King James and ESV. With the passage open, I click on Visual Filters, scroll down and check Propositional Outlines. Absolutely nothing happens with the text in either Bible.

  • OT Propositional Outlines

Subscribed today to Logos Now and when I check the Propositional Outlines in the Visual Filter of an OT passage, nothing happens. According to the video, checking this is supposed to restructure the text with the outline information. Am I missing something?

  • Re: Smart Tags broken in 6.3 SR1

I complained when SmartTags stopped working. Now I offer kudos to the Logos programmers for fixing it and "supporting" it even though they don't support it. The various posts about it indicate that it is a very valuable tool for many Logos users. I know it saves me, not seconds, but hours as much as I use it. Those who have the versions of Word that

  • [closed] Smart Tags Broken Revisited

Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this phenomena, but while the corrected registration command does work to restore SmartTags with Logos 6.3 SR1, what I find is that I have to run it each time I open Word 2010. Wondering why it doesn't "stick" when the command is run. Any insights would be appreciated.

Just want to be sure the credit goes where it really belongs. I had no clue. I cried out to the Lord for the answer, and He reminded me of something I read on the SmartTags wiki page about editing the registry and the mention of a key containing the path to LogosCom.exe. The Lord said that was my answer, and it was! Let's praise Him together. He knows
