  • Rhyme or Reason?

I am perplexed trying to figure out why Logos 4 does not permit the creation of a new note from a selected passage of Scripture if there are any other notes files. This is a huge annoyance, as I would only be able to add to an existing note file from a passage selection, when what I need to do is create a new note. Any insights as to why it has to be

  • Is it Possible to Add An Existing Note to Text?

I have notes I've created, but failed to create them from selecting text at the time. Is there any way to attach them to text after the fact?

This results not from any copy/pasting, Only from typing. Everything appears normal while typing. But when I add the next note to the existing note, the change as illustrated occurs in the previous note. Very strange.

  • Notes Default Font

Since the advent of 4.5, I've noticed in adding a note to a note that the font changes from something resembling a Times Roman font to something resembling an Arial font. Sometimes part of the paragraph is changed and the rest remains unchanged. When I select any of the text, it shows it is the default font, but it is quite different in appearance.

  • Re: troubleshooting personal book builder

Shannon, unless I am completely to be corrected, Personal Books are not at this present time synced to the Logos cloud, so Personal Books have to be built on each computer that Logos is installed on. I have Logos on a home computer and on a computer at work, and when I want to have Personal Books, I have to use the docx files and build them on each

I went through my library and tagged works for apologetics collection, but what is the rule to use to create the collection from the tags? I tried: tags:apologetics and variations of that, but no results at all. Thanks.

Wondering if anyone has come up with a comprehensive set of rules to create an Apologetics Collection? Thanks for any input.

Appreciate the help. I'm only doing sermon series that I have preached thus far. Years ago I found it needful to discipline myself to write/type everything out in detail, so I would stay on course with where I really wanted to go with messages, so I have lots and lots of sermon series. Have about 20 of them done in PB. Have several more to do, and will

Yes, I'm aware it uses a graphic image. What I was doing was adding cover page in Word, then printing to Adobe PDF the cover page only, then using Adobe Acrobat to export the image as png and using that. My issue was with background page colors in Word 2010. What I was doing worked quite well other than that one snag. But if others have an easier, more

Not sure what you mean by just creating or using the .jpg file for book cover. Would be interested in knowing easier way(s) to do that.

  • Re: PBB Book Covers

I have a related question. In attempting to make covers for my PB's, I've used Word 2010's Insert/Cover Page. This works great, but I'm having a problem when trying to create custom cover pages. For some reason, the background page colors (using Page Layout) do not show up and sometimes the Quick Parts text information also does not show up when I used

Wow! Just noticed that the little problem of the space between the closing punctuation and the closing quotation mark when copying Bible verses with Smart Tags has been fixed! No longer will I have to click at the end of a Bible verse and backspace. Thanks, Logos!!!

Finally figured it out. My master document only had links. Am trying a different method of creating the document. My problem now is, I can't seem to get rid of the blank one I created in Logos.

  • New Non-Existent PB

Today I created a master document of a sermon series in Word 2010. Then used PB Tool to build the book. It said it completed successfully, but when the book is opened, there is absolutely nothing there. What did I do wrong?

So sorry, George, it's been a while and I wish I could remember the specific video numbers and references. I do, however, remember Dr. Heiser specifically stating that the example was one with theological import. He then went on to make the point in general terms, as I recall, without identifying the theological category by name. I do recall that one

Without starting a theological debate on the forum (that is certainly not its purpose), let me just say that while I've never met Dr. Heiser or communicated with him in any way, from the couple of examples I am recalling, there was a definite suggestion of Covenant/Replacement theology. That is certainly a very commonly held theological view. My point

I am working through the Hebrew videos at present. They are indeed quite helpful in discovering what can be done (rather impressively) with Logos 4 resources. Dr. Heiser does cover some very basic Hebrew grammar, providing bare essentials to enable effectively utilizing Logos 4. It is very excellent that he encourages users to make their own observations
