• Re: Starting Logos offline
The issue is: how do you start up Logos without it taking 2 minutes to realize there is no internet connection when you already knew that to begin with. There should be some way to tell Logos you want to work offline w/o it taking 2 minutes to ask you after it can't find an internet connection.
Spot on !

  • Starting Logos offline

Has anyone found a quick way of starting Logos in working-offline mode? I have to do this when I am reading on the move, for example, on a train. I read that holding CTRL when starting the program was supposed to do this. However, when I do it still takes about 2 minutes to reach a dialogue box where I then have to click on Work Offline. This is much

  • Re: Feature Request to improve Word by Word

This is a very useful tip. I have been wanting a way to collapse the information in word by word. The problem now is that the text is grey on a grey background, and when I hover over a word it is highlighted in a greyish blue. It is nice to have less scrolling to do, but it does make it more difficult to read. Has anyone found a workaround?

  • Oxford Bible Commentary

Has anyone in the United Kingdom managed to find the Logos version of the Oxford Bible Commentary available at a reasonable price. It is on Amazon.com, but they won't ship outside the US.

  • Re: Ctrl+clicking on hyperlinks - awesome!

I've just found a better way of doing this. Drag and drop a hyperlink wherever you want to open it. A new tab will open on top of other tabs. You can even drop it within the same pane that contains the hyperlink: a new tab opens on top. This makes life so much easier.

  • Re: speed issue. What does acceptable performance look like?

This performance sounds about the same as mine. Using a laptop without a separate graphics card, I found the program was very slow starting if I had the exegetical guide or passage guide open (and I found most of the stuff in those guides I did not use). Having changed to only using the guides when I specifically want the information, performance is

  • Sale prices

On the web pages for individual resources there are a suggested retail price and a sale price. Is the sale price something that is available all the time, or does that come to an end at the end of January with the introductory Logos 4 pricing?

  • Re: Controlling what pane a resource opens in

Certainly remembering where a resource was last time around would be good. Yesterday I closed a resource by mistake then immediately reopened it, but it appeared in a different pane.

  • Logos in Windows start menu under letter n

In Windows Vista, when I press the start button and then type the letter n in the search box, Logos Bible Software 4 comes out at the top of the list of programs, instead of my usual program that starts with the letter n . I can't see that there is an n anywhere in the shortcut to Logos. Any ideas why this happens?

  • Where do new resources open?

Does anyone know how Logos 4 decides where on the screen open a new resource, from the library or from a hyperlink. I am trying to set up layout with three panes: a bible, a commentary and third pane where hyperlinks open. At the moment the new resource always opens on top of the commentary. I have tried selecting send hyperlinks here, but they still
