  • Re: Huge encyclopaedia: The Dictionary of Christianity and the Bible

[quote user="Bryan Hawkins"] I downloaded the files correctly and was able to convert the dictionary when I was using Logos 5, but do to an issue I had to re-download the dictionary in Logos 6 and convert it again. But this time the conversion never finishes. It seems stuck at around 25% or so. Anyone else have this problem with personal book builder

  • Re: "Read" Feature in L6B3

With the addition of the option to mark a book as finished, I think it would be a useful feature. I'm not at home to try it at the moment, but I presume a book can be marked as partially read (at least the pale circle) simply by opening it and looking at a few pages. I currently use ratings to mark books as (1) hope to read, (2) dabbled and (3) finished

  • Re: "Read" Feature in L6B3

Is there a way I can manually mark a book as read? There are some books that I read a long time ago that aren't marked. Other books I have read apart from the lengthy indexes, but they only show as part read.

  • Re: BUG: Headword with imbeded colon causes headword to be ignored in Build Book

I think this is probably expected behaviour. Headwords can't have colons in them because the colon has other meanings. That doesn't stop you using a phrase with a colon in to link to a headword: [[The Harbinger: Fact or Fiction? >> @Headword:The Harbinger]]

  • Re: Logos by Subscription?

I've been pushing for a little while for a subscription option. My vision is for Logos/Faithlife to handle the hardware side of things for me: — I do most of my reading on the iPad, but I want the full Logos desktop experience in a virtual app or virtual desktop form. — I want the same Logos experience on iPad and PC, just pick up where I left off on

I had this a few days ago, and it was because I was reindexing.

Welcome to the forums. The Bible-text-only options have changed a bit. Take a look at this menu:

  • Re: Ancient literature

In my limited experience, the Talmud editions are fairly well referenced for Bible quotations and obvious allusions. You might not get the more oblique allusions.

They have reappeared this morning. It looks like it was indexing that prevented them from showing. Thanks for your help.

In LEB I do have scroll bar, but my filters are not at the bottom.

There is no scroll bar for me. I only have the two visual filters, so a scroll bar shouldn't be needed. Anyway, this morning the filters were displaying in the text but now they are not.

  • My visual filters just disappeared

I have visual filters for marking up Greek and Hebrew texts, but they are no longer showing. I think this happened with the update to SR-3. The filters are present in Documents, but they don't show up in the visual filters menu for resources.

  • Re: Sharpness of text display

Bradley, thanks for taking the time to reply. ClearType has always been on, and I haven't consciously made any changes to it. If there were any display changes in 6.0, I would have expected to see them when I first installed it. I guess it is something to do with Air Display. Sadly, it has now gone back to how it was before (after accessing from Splashtop

  • Sharpness of text display

    I've noticed a sudden improvement in the sharpness of text display in Logos 6 today. I don't think it was like that when I first installed Logos 6; it seemed to change today. Since the start of Logos 5, text has always been a bit blurred or ragged. This was attributed to the maximum screen resolution on my Windows 7 Ultrabook being only 1366 x 766;

  • Re: New Feature: Books.Logos.com

    1. The first book I tried to download from the website didn't work. Second time I used the new Search Everything and selected the book from the results; it arrived after a few minutes in the same way as a resource update. 2. A Fit Width option is needed to make these resources easily readable in Logos 6.

[quote user="abondservant"] The larger the crossgrade the more resources feed the newer features and thus the more powerful these newer features become. Sorry I can't be more specific. Logos has produced this google doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10CLo5_gFjKsNLuyw9n5EE1pwW0pgPHSrOL1WTMN33pA/edit#gid=0 Or you can use the one (that looks

What is the difference between the feature crossgrade and the other crossgrade above that (can't remember its name)? (I only got about half an hour looking at the Logos website yesterday before America woke up and crashed it. I haven't been able to get back into the website since, so I'm trying to piece things together from the forums.)
