Please disregard this post. I went to Twitter and figured out how to post something. Wow! And I did it all by myself without the help of my kids, who weren't home anyway. They'll be so proud of me! I just want an iPad and getting one for free would make my husband sooooo very happy! Have a blessed day! Christina

I shut the entire laptop down, instead of just rebooting the virtual machine, and the upgrade worked. Also, based upon the suggestions of others, I deleted AVG Free 9.0 due to the problems the program had with Fusion. My system worked fine for a moment, which is when I responded to your post, but I'm back to the Passage Guide taking 5 minutes to create

Rick, how do you "give" Fusion 2 GB of RAM? Also, how much RAM does your computer have? Thanks! Christina

I'm running Logos 4 on a MacBook Pro utilizing VMFusion and Windows XP. Everything was great until yesterday. The program is now running very sluggish. It is taking the Passage Guide almost 10-15 minutes to calculate. It freezes after listing the first 5 or 6 commentaries and when it begins again, the Handout appears twice. Of course I have my first

I upgraded to version 3.01 this morning and now I cannot access my Virtual machine. My update was not fully installed successfully and my virtual machine won't turn on. Of course I have my first presentation in 2 1/2 hours. The error code I get says the following: The initialization of the VMware Fusion device driver has failed Execution of this virtual

How do I open it using the older version?

I have a ton of resources, both in Logos and in print, on prayer which is why this resource wasn't something that I was particularly interested in at this time. My disappointment certainly had nothing to do with this particular offering, I'm sure it's great. My heart was really set on the Anchor Yale Bible Commentary; however, it is indeed great to

Did you download it or was it an automatic update?

Thank you for posting this because I hadn't heard. I've prayed and will continue to do so for the officers, their families, and the community at large.

I felt just like you for the first several weeks, but had a change of heart recently. It wasn't until I used Logos 3 a few days ago that I realized how much I love Logos 4. Now, that doesn't mean that it isn't without it's problems. I purchased a new laptop before discovering Logos was even working on a new version of the software and, had I known beforehand

Has anyone been able to get the MIDI files associated with the various hymns to play? When I select the MIDI option on any of the songs in the Logos Hymnal, the song selection appears correctly, but it doesn't seem to load completely; therefore, the song never plays. Any thoughts? Thanks! Christina

I should have mentioned that the pause and X selections appear, along with the song title; but nothing else concerning tracking appears.

Thank you so much for telling me about this program. I've never heard of it before and it seems as though it will help tremendously with my sermon preparation and research. Although I have other programs (i.e. Word, Notes, etc.), having the ability to use all of the features most helpful to me in one program is absolutely awesome. I'm going to download

Has anyone been looking at the new devices being unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show this week? Although I'm patiently waiting for the Apple tablet, and praying it will be compatible with my Logos 4 program, a new device caught my eye today. It's called the Entourage Edge and it's a dual screen netbook and e-book reader with a color screen that

I plan to attend the seminar in Philadelphia but I'd love to attend one before May; however, travel to another location is not in the budget at this time.
If you have not voted in the March madness round, please send The Doctrine of the Atonement, As Taught by the Apostles from Division round up to the next level. I would absolutely love to get this title. I'm not sure I would be able to get it at 30% but it sounds like such a great resource. And its available on the IPhone
WARNING: WHAT FOLLOWS IS A GRIPE SESSION; IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME OR THE TEMPERAMENT, PASS OVER THIS. I am somewhat disappointed that the Journal of Biblical Literature is still stuck in the Pre-Pub gathering interest stage. I was really looking forward to having JBL incorporated into my Logos library but it still hasn't
Hey Alain, I'm sorry for my short response! I see how it could have been read, and I apologize. I should have written a longer more thoughtful response. I see the two reasons you give for not purchasing the iPad. I think they are well thought out. I also see the thread where people are sharing their enthusiasm for purchasing

I actually just realized that I've never called Customer Service once for any kind of assistance with Logos 4 related issues. I've just posted the issue/question in the forums and my wonderful sisters and brothers in Christ have helped me. I've actually been able to help a few people, which is kind of scary! Bravo to the forums! Christina
Are we going to have a Winner??? -Mike
According to Twitter, our dear brother, Javanut, won the iPad. Congratulations are in order! Hmmm, why was that so hard to say........just a joke! Guess I'll have to get back to my original plan to sell Kool-Aid this weekend to raise money for my iPad. Christina
