mab, My drive is 500 GB SSD and is about 1/2 or so full, not too full. But maybe you are right about the have lots of things running. I tend to do lots of tasks with my Home PC and Laptop, and I have lots of programs loaded on them. Form Cloud Drives (2) and Video Editing software, and MS Office, and other Text Editing software, like OmniPage and PaperPort

I should have bought a Surface Pro2. I bought a Lenovo ThinkTab2 for Win 8.1. Logos runs on it, but not too swiftly. Well Maybe it's time to Re-load Windows 8, Sounds like my hardware should be good enough. I'll try to get the video fixed tonight, it is a good example of how slow the resource opens. Edit: Pro2 was tagged in the post as Proverbs 2 .

A Screen Video. Here it is. I started with opening the large resource, then I clicked on the open resources to show that they were switching reasonably well until I got to the KJV and there was a small delay then everything was good until I clicked on the tab for the RH resource and there was a long delay opening it, but when it finally opened I could

  • Re: Logos Now and Logos 7 Crossgrade

I think this is something similar to what Logos is looking to provide to us. That is what I would like to have also. They may have to adjust the price for this, but smoothing out the price over months is in everyone's interest. It would be nice to have automatic upgrades, but then Logos (FL) would have to stick to a schedule of upgrades or some would

  • [resolved] Concordance Tool Resources

I just tried the Concordance Tool. I am glad to have a tool like this. It is very helpful when searching for similar phrases in passages containing certain words. I would like to know if it is possible to create a concordance for a collection of books in my library? For example, all the volumes of a commentary set, or multi-volume books. This would

Carl, My laptop has 8 GB on it also and I don't seem to run out of memory even with several (~20) resources opened at the same time, but some of the resources take a while to open or switch to from resource tab to resource tab. Also I have a Silver library with all the Data Sets from the Crossgrade, and several other books that I have bought or made

Lynden, The resource I am speaking of is "The Review and Herald, EGW". It is just as slow on my laptop also, although my laptop is newer it is not as powerful as my desktop. Sometimes I open several resources at a time (~20 usually from the EGW library), but my RAM isn't full so I don't think it is a RAM deficit issue. Maybe I should instead ask, how

Al, If he is a Missionary someone should appeal to the church for a new computer for him? It sounds like his computer isn't up to the job. Logos 6 is bogging down my relatively powerful i7 desktop computer. There has to be someone who can give him a better computer, or buy him a new one. The only recommendation for his old computer that I would give

  • What PC Hardware is Best for Logos 6

It seems that over time the Logos gets slower as it grows. I have a fairly powerful computer and other hardware attached (i7-930 3.0 Ghz 4core/8thread CPU, 24 GB 1333 RAM, Samsung 500 GB SSD). I spend a lot of time reading and searching for material in Logos, and find that some books open very slow, (My largest book which is a compilation of about 10

Does this mean that we are getting close to the release date, or do we have several months yet to wait?

Is that why I got a refund on Bronze? I bought it the first day that Logos 6 was available with the crossgrade for 6 but a week or so later they deposited a little less than half of it back on my credit card as a refund.

Great. I have Bronze now. I'll check it out. But since it is not an Adventist Resource, how useful is it? There are many errors in the Theology in these books isn't there?

Timothy. It works the same for me when I type DA for "The Desire of Ages" (and other books) but when it doesn't show up as one of the top few I backspace and begin typing the title of the Book "Desire...." until It shows up at or near the top of the list. All the Testimonies work normally by typing 3t etc...

  • Re: Biblical Research Institute (BRI) Collection, Part 1 (11 vols.) by 9 authors

I think what we really need is more SDA Logos Users. Then we would have more interest. Is there a way to promote Logos in our publications like the Recorder and the Review? That would be good business for Logos to make an advert there. If our people knew that this was available there may be more users. I am an advocate for Logos at our church, but there

  • Re: Logos 6 is released with 3 SDA base packages (Bronze & Silver include EGW Lifeworks)

Logos 6 Comes with some new stuff, Datasets, and there are some new features in it as well. In order to buy an upgrade you need the Logos 6 Crossgrade. They quoted me about $160 for the upgrade, but then it actually came down to around $95 with their discounts I already had SDA Starter with all the datasets additionally. But then I changed my mind and

Tim, and anyone else: I need some incite on making notes. Is it better in your opinion to make note files on several topics, in other words to store notes with each topic under a different note file, or to try to do like in a paper bible and all under one file with highlighting and notation in the same file? I have started in the single note file per

You will have to call Logos sales. They will look you account up and see if it has been registered to your account. I had to register two of these SDABC Exp edition CDs. One for me and one for my father. But I had to call to the Logos sales team to get them activated in my Logos 5 account. Also a word of caution here: If the CD has ever been registered

What are the differences in the EGW Library that is in the now retired "Expanded edition of the SDA Bible Commentary"? What enhancements will be available in the new Life works Library? Excellent $ Price $ for such a important and expansive library. Worth every penny. These are the most important writings ever besides to the Bible.
