  • Re: Morph or Syntax Search? Looking for "noun and noun and noun" in Hebrew

That's excellent. It returned exactly the results I was looking for. Not to be greedy, but I wonder if it is possible to find words that have Masoretic punctuation. I'm looking for cases when a zeqeph qaton appears over the medial noun. I can identify them by sight, but would be terrific if I could filter the results accordingly. And can I just say

  • Morph or Syntax Search? Looking for "noun and noun and noun" in Hebrew

I want to find all instances in the Hebrew scriptures where three nouns are listed in a row, preferably with "and" (the vav) in front of the second two nouns. Ideally, these would be predicate nominatives. What is the best way to find these verses?

  • Let me buy a Logos book for my pastor

I'd love to be able to "gift" books from the Logos offerings to any of the ministers at my church who use Logos study software. I don't know of any way to buy a book from you and have it download to someone else's account. I'd like to buy some N. T. Wright books that I already own for myself and add them to my pastor's Logos library. Can this be done

  • Re: As others have reported, my Logos 6 software is crashing for no apparent reason

Based on the descriptions in the posts, it was the same problem -- unexplained crashes after only a few minutes of work -- but possibly not the same cause. And since I don't know what is or was happening for the others who posted, I can't say with certainty it wasn't the same cause. In fact, I would be surprised it I am the only Logos user who also

The Event Log was helpful in pointing to a video tool that runs in the background and automatically records certain types of apps (games to be specific -- the app is Play.TV). Although there is no indication that the app ever recorded a Logos session, it was apparently doing something that adversely affected the Logos 6 software. I quit the app using

  • Re: As others have reported, my Logos 6 software is crashing for no apparent reason

Yes, these are the log files that were created up to the point of the crash and before I tried again. Every time I work with the software, it crashes. So it won't be a problem to check the event log once I get back home. The reason I can't get on the phone is that I am at work away from my PC during the day and then have small children that need my

  • As others have reported, my Logos 6 software is crashing for no apparent reason

After actively working in the software for a few minutes, I get a software crash message which only gives me the option of closing the application. This problem only began this week. I hadn't opened Logos in over a week before last Wednesday, but I did not have this symptom the last time I used it. Now it happens every time I work in Logos. 7607.0218

  • Re: Logos 6 stop working

Based on my own perusal of the forum posts, over the last few days there has been a noticeable uptick in the number of people complaining that Logos is crashing after having used it for a while, with no apparent cause. Certainly that could be a coincidence. But it doesn't seem likely to me. Since this is a public forum, I'm not sure how it can be rude

I'm a little surprised to have gotten no reply from Logos since my post two days ago. The software is practically useless to me because it crashes every time I try to use it for more than a few minutes. I have tried just leaving it open, and it seems that if I am not actively using it, it will not crash. But when I am scrolling around through Bible

I am having the same type of problem, though the average time before the crash is longer than two minutes. I have attached my log files. 0218.LogosError.zip

  • Feature Request: Take notes with a stylus

Is there a way that I can open Logos 6 on my Microsoft Surface or Apple iPad and write notes with a stylus? I'd love to underline and to annotate the Bible text directly with freeform writing. I'd also love to be able to handwrite notes in a notes window adjacent to the Bible text. How great it would be to do Precept inductive marking using my stylus

  • Re: A couple wants and needs with Faithlife/Feature Request

These are helpful tips as workarounds. But I may have to change up the reading plan almost weekly, because I usually don't get as far through the text as I plan each Sunday. And I'm never exactly sure where I will have to find a stopping point to pick up the following week. Recreating the reading plan every time I fail to finish at the expected point

I have a feature request related to reading plans as well. I'd like to be able to edit them after they have been created and shared, without having to start completely over with a new one. For example, I posted a reading plan for Galatians and Ephesians based on my original lesson plans for teaching in Sunday school, but due to some circumstances changing

There was apparently a major update to Windows 10 sometime in the last day or so, and initial experiences with the updated Edge browser point to the refresh issue having been fixed. I'll keep an eye on the tab refreshes to see if they are still happening, but right now it looks like they are not getting refreshed simply for resuming focus.

I am using Windows 10. The default for the OS is the Edge browser, but I have noticed that the Faithlife site along with several others does not work well in the Edge environment. The page refreshes every time it regains focus after losing it, and this means that edits inside a form are lost if I leave the page without finalizing them. Something about

  • Visual Copy to Faithlife results in hyperlink text, not image

When I post from Logos 6 to Facebook with Visual Copy, the result is always the image I posted. But when I post from Logos 6 to Faithlife the exact same way, the result is often merely hyperlink text with no image embedded in the post. Sometimes the image appears, but it is inconsistent. Am I doing something wrong, or is this something that can be fixed

In the last couple of weeks several more class members have joined at FaithLife, so I am more encouraged now at it being a viable collaboration tool for the class members. And I also just discovered how to make a custom reading plan so I can post the scriptures we will be discussing each Sunday using that tool. So things are moving in the right direction

There are several ways I would like to use social media that currently is not happening. Right now the only two ways that I am actively using it is to generate newsletters using the FaithLife tool (which is really more about using e-mail than social media to be honest) and also to post reminders to the calendar. But here is the list of things I would

  • New Feature Request: Simultaneous Post to Facebook Group

While I prefer the FaithLife experience for faith-based social media, the bulk of my Sunday school class still uses Facebook exclusively for their online presence. As a consequence, I have created groups in both places for our class. It is getting to be tedious to have to post the same announcements to both places each time. If it were possible to
