  • Cannot selectively add News items to newsletter

After I add a News item to the newsletter, the X in the upper right corner of each newsfeed item appears to do nothing. And then, when I click Done, the content of the News block is apparently empty. I tried this in Windows 10 Edge browser and in Google Chrome, with the same results.

  • Re: Newsletter tool not working

Well, that appears to be fixed. However, I have encountered two other issues now. First, the word wrap on the newsletter view is inconsistent. After I sent the newsletter, I went back to it to make sure that all the sections were there. They were, but some of the words are being divided on two lines. In a couple of cases the first letter of the word

  • Re: Newsletter tool not working

Now I've tried again in Chrome and in Internet Explorer, and they all fail to save the newsletter after I add a second article to the design. So I guess it's not the Edge browser per se.

Could it be related to the fact that I'm using the Edge browser in Windows 10? Should I try it in a different browser?

  • Newsletter tool not working

I tried twice to create a newsletter, but the "save draft" doesn't seem to be working, and went I clicked to send the newsletter, only the title section and the first article section were part of the final copy. I had added three additional articles that just vanished when I sent the newsletter. I'm upset at losing the time I spent writing up the articles

  • New Inductive Study Series books in Logos?

Ever since I read a recent post from Morris Proctor that showed how some materials allow you to type in your own notes right in the Logos book, I have wanted to have the Precept Ministries' series of Bible study books in Logos. The link to the main page on the Precept Ministries web site is http://store.precept.org/By-Series/new-inductive-study-series

  • 2013-2014 Standard Lesson Commentary

I am teaching using the Standard Quarterly lessons in the 2012-2013 Standard Lesson Commentary, and it ends at the end of this month. The 2013-2014 Lesson Commentary is "under development," but I cannot find an ETA for completion. Is it expected before next month? Or shall I find a print version to get me through the first quarter of the new segment

  • Re: Feature Suggestion: Dropbox App

After trying to put my lesson notes into a "notes" document, I realize now that this tool was for adding my own footnote style comments to the Bible text. It is not well suited for a lesson that draws from multiple texts across several Bible books. So it looks like I'm back to using Word for that, and so I can share my notes in Dropbox the same way

  • Re: Feature Suggestion: Dropbox App

Up until now I have copied Word docs into a Dropbox folder so that I can open them on my Nook while I am at church and can use the notes directly from there. This saves having to print my lessons to paper. Sometimes I supplement the Word doc with a PowerPoint presentation and open it on my laptop instead of the Nook. I was thinking that I could now

  • Feature Suggestion: Dropbox App

I just discovered the ability to publish some of my self-made document types to the documents.logos.com site unique to my login. This is a great feature that somehow I have missed the whole time until today. It got me wishing that I could also publish these documents to my Dropbox account, which is the cloud resource I use for almost everything else

  • User File management in Logos 5

One of my frustrations with Logos 4 is the File > Open list. It is not an elegant way to present a large number of personal files. I like to create handouts for my weekly Bible study, and so after several weeks the list is large and getting larger. There are no sorting options and no filter by type of document. Is the user document management improved

  • Re: Search query syntax

If any Logos staff are still following this thread, please note that the information in the link at http://wiki.logos.com/Search_HELP really should be in the native help document accessed directly from the Logos software. The use of these terms and the requirement for capitalization are not intuitive features. I looked and looked in the help document

  • Locate and then Move Logos Library files

I want to move my Logos library files off of the C:\ drive (which I suspect is failing) to a secondary hard drive. What is the best procedure for identifying the location of the files currently and then moving them to the new location, updating the software to know where the books are?

  • Re: Video driver resets repeatedly

Updating the video driver appears to have fixed the problem, at least as far as the "Collection" process goes. Time will tell about the handouts issue, as that was more intermittent. However, the first tests of both are promising. Hopefully the driver update will be a complete fix. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Geoff

Video Driver Version: 8.850.0.0 This is for a desktop, not a laptop. Video card brand and model is XFX HD5750. It has 1 GB of DDR5 video ram. The monitors use the HDMI connection natively (i.e. no adapters to RGB). The OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I just checked the XFX web site, and I notice there is an update to their driver software that

  • Video driver resets repeatedly

I am creating a new collection. Each time I drag a resource from the "resulting collection" list into either the "plus these resources" or "minus these resources" lists, the video driver on my computer shuts down and resets. The screen goes completely black and then comes back on. The Windows Event Viewer logs a "Warning" event each time I do this,

Might there be any chance that there will be a Logos app for Nook that doesn't require any special workarounds at all?

  • Reading on other e-Readers?

One thing I would very much like to do is read my Logos books on my Nook. It seems the Vyrso could be a step in that direction, especially since I read the Vyrso books can be read in both Logos and the Vyrso e-Reader app. I guess the larger question is: Can Vyrso books be read on dedicated e-reader devices like the Kindle or the Nook? Or is the format

  • Re: E-Book Reader

I just want to add a vote for the Nook to this discussion. It may not be the best e-book reader, but it is the one I have, and I enjoy using it to read away from my house. I can take to the gym and ready while on a treadmill, and it is much handier when traveling than booting up a laptop. I know the iPad is the hot new thing, but I already own the Nook
