• Re: Logos 8 Messianic Jewish Base Packages - Now Available!
As a result, Messianic Jews do not appreciate Martin Luther nor find him very "spirit-filled" or spiritually discerning. ... Hope this helps in understanding our perspective on that guy.
I don’t believe that any group, Messianic Jewish or otherwise believes the exact same thing. People within any denomination have

  • Re: Logos 8 Messianic Jewish Base Packages - Now Available!

The issue isn’t whether Luther’s writings are controversial. The issue is that controversial posts (about Luther’s views) don’t belong on any of the FL forums, including Messianic Jewish. Thanks for understanding why the rules ask us to avoid debates, and keep the topics centered on Logos itself.

There's a two-hour window for editing posts, but I can't remember if that also affects whether you can delete a post or not. Since you already reported it, you might want to wait until an admin is online and handles it (probably during working hours at FL).

  • HALOT on sale for 40% off!

https://www.logos.com/product/5226/hebrew-and-aramaic-lexicon-of-the-old-testament Due to publisher arrangements, HALOT is generally never discounted. It is both rare and wonderful to see HALOT on sale, and at 40% off at that! If you're wondering whether or not you need it, Why should I buy HALOT? might help answer your question.

  • Re: Question: How do I filter on Base Packages in the Logos.com store???

"Base Packages" is under the Product Type facet. Unfortunately, this facet no longer appears when browsing everything. You have to pull up another search (e.g. Popular Pre-Pubs) that uses it, then select base packages and unselect the first search criteria. Here's the search you want, using the Base Packages product type: https://www.logos.com/search
There is always a learning curve.
True, but this places more of a burden on the user to stop and decode the meanings. I don’t think the program should become less intuitive, as not all customers are power users, academics, pastors, etc. While I’m grateful for expert users and employees who understand search
NASF - morph - uses the symbol used to display the morphology picker in a morph search
For people like me who have (used the context menu to run a morph search, but) have never typed in a morph search string, this association would be foreign. Out of sight, out of mind. It would be a better experience for the information to be readily visible, instead of requiring us to recall the icon meanings, or remember where to find the legend. Let’s not make things more cryptic or obscure, please. Logos Help is not an option I tend to think of or use, unfortunately. If there’s no “tooltip”

  • Re: Prepub items listed in a base package

There's probably not a typical answer, because it can vary greatly depending on what FL is releasing. FL has done different promotions for different types of packages. But if you're specifically asking about the standard or denominational base packages, the best discounts might happen when a new major version ships. For example, when L8 launched, we

The L7 library expansions definitely were 50% off. The Heiser and academic packages also had introductory pricing, but I don’t recall whether the standard and denominational base packages were also steeply discounted.

Interesting. Thanks, Reuben. I can appreciate the dilemma of not being able to have the same resource in different series. Still puzzled why four of its resources would be considered an LHBOTS series. I suppose that information comes from the publisher, and FL just follows their lead. Incidentally, the product page happens to describe it as a series

  • Attn Kyle: LHBOTS metadata bug?

While attempting to answer an LHBOTS question, I assumed I could simply filter by the series to view library information about all of the monographs. Only four of the monographs show up under that series. Other monographs don't seem to have any series, although their citations mention the ( formerly known as) Journal for the Study of Old Testament Series
