Jerry, I thought I had a problem, but it's nothing compared to yours! I'm so sorry. I don't have time to do them all at once, but am slowly chopping them down bit by bit. This does seem like a big problem. I have been closing Logos 4 every time now. I will keep an eye out for any that return.

Richard, Regarding you statement about sleeping/hibernating, you are right on the money, I do sleep my laptop. When it’s time to go to work I shut the lid and leave. I rarely shutdown the laptop. This could be the issue with the synchronizing. Jonathan, I have noticed the difference also. I wondered why some were duplicated and others not. However,

[quote user="Bradley Grainger"] The actual note is duplicated, unfortunately. (Click the first icon, then the second, and look at the position of the scroll thumb in the vertical scroll bar in the Notes window; you'll see that it changes position, indicating that these are two different notes.) This can be caused by editing the same note file concurrently

  • Re: Duplicate Note Icons

I tried the clicking on each of the note icons and they point to the same note file and the same note. I tried turning off the note filter pertaining to the book and both icons disappear. So that isn't it. Thanks.

  • Duplicate Note Icons

I have noticed just recently that some of my note entries (icons) are duplicated. One next to another. However, the actual note is not duplicated. I'm not sure when this showed up, and it doesn't affect all of my note icons. There are many that have only one icon and not two. Here's what it looks like: Is this a known bug? What could this be due to

  • Re: Lost personalization after reinstall

All this discussion leads to a very important question. With the constant synchronization that goes on with Logos 4, just what exactly is synchronized, and what is not? I seem to remember a while back that there was some inconsistanties with the information on what was sync'd and what wasn't. Is there a document on it on www.logos.com ? Or perhaps another

  • Creating custom bible collections

I know how to create collections in Logos 4. However, what I want to do is create a collection of paraphrase bible translations. Is there a way to search for these in the Library? What's the syntax to find them? Further, the only one I can find in Logos is The Message. What about J.B. Phillips or The Living Translation or The Jewish New Testament (I

  • Re: Home Page no longer loading, and Logos won't close without Task Manager

Mark, I deleted the home page folder and that solved all of my problems! The home page remade itself and open immediately. Also, Logos closes right away! This is a big deal. I'm thrilled. Thanks so much. Blessings to you guys. -Bruce

Richard, Thanks a lot. I downloaded CCleaner and it's going to work now. Mark, I tried what you said and it got stuck on the web page again. I did remove a couple of resources which caused the home page to partially appear, grayed out. After 2 hours (I went to dinner with my wife) I checked and the wheel was still spinning, and the home page was grayed

Thanks for the help. I will give it a try. As for memory, I have 2 MB of RAM and only 10GB left on the home drive. I wish I had a program that finds loose unused memory. There is probably a lot I could delete, but would take hours to find. I'm probably being a bit hyperbolic.

  • Home Page no longer loading, and Logos won't close without Task Manager

After opening Logos the home page doesn't appear, but I only see the spinning wheel continuing to spin. If I click on a resourse or layout that will appear. But no home page. Another issue (I don't know if they are related) is closing Logos. I do this by clicking the X in the top right of the screen. Doing so doesn't close Logos anymore. I have to open

  • Re: Logos 4 Freezing with complicated layout

Nope. Same number. That's the strange part. I wish I could compare them both as far as components. I had another interesting experience. The layout that I said was good, I saved it with the name "Bible Reader-good." I then exited Logos, and when I reopened and chose the saved Bible Reader-good it froze. I saved the log and is named "Logos4-20101128

  • Re: Logos 4 Freezing with complicated layout

This is very strange. I was following Dave's instructions when the thought occurred to me to look at my old layouts and pick one that is essentially the one that caused the problem in the first place. It opened right away with no problems. It is Dan 7:1 and NKJV shows interlinear. I will investigate more later, and report my findings. Thanks much.

Mark, Thanks much for your help. This layout seems like a big problem. When I use another one the freezing doesn't occur. I've attached the log. I followed your instructions exactly. I'm starting to think that I will just have to delete the layout and use another one. I would like to know if there is a way to modify the layout from the command line

  • Re: I-Pad

Personally, I've been very happy with my Fujitsu LifeBook Tablet PC. It runs Windows 7. I have no other personal computer and it holds all of my Logos 4 Platinum, and I still have Libronix on it, although I don't use it anymore. Since it is a tablet I can swivel the monitor around and write on it with the pen (included with the tablet) or my finger

The freeze occurs after the layout is loaded. Computer information: Fujitsu LifeBook Series(Build: 24SEN3-MS--1) Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T9600. 2.80GHz Ram: 2.00 GB (1.98 GB usable) 32 Bit It finishes loading like this, but is totaly frozen.

  • Logos 4 Freezing with complicated layout

I am using Logos 4.1 SR-4 (4.10.4.6514). For sometime I was doing a lot of study in the NT and had created a layout specific to that purpose. I then switched to a study of Daniel. When I open the layout now it does open, but then freezes. Mark Barnes said I should time it. Well, at 30 minutes I gave up. Part of this layout included bible versions NKJV

  • Re: Logos 4 is not compatible with IE 9

I really enjoy using IE9. Having said that, Mark's comment that clicking "compatibility mode" does help. I was unable to type in this window before, but after clicking the compatibility mode I can. Regarding videos, I've not had any problems. I'm using ie9 version 9.0.7930.16406. I really enjoy very much watching Mark Barnes unofficial training videos

  • Re: Logos 4 Interlinear

I love the new interlinear especially for NKJV. However, how would I copy the information at the bottom? Is there a way to do that? I've tried to copy and paste but to no luck. I like the format in Libronix 3 where it shows the arrows pointing to the actual words in Greek. Can this be done with version 4? Thanks and God bless
