  • Re: Looking for Excursus on the Basileia by E.R. (Elijah Richardson) Craven

Hi, It appears to be on pages 93-100 of the Scribner edition of Lange's Commentary on Revelation, which is Volume 10 of the NT section: http://www.archive.org/details/cu31924092344401 A list of such discussions by Craven, who is identified as the American editor, is given on page ii of the preface of this volume. Logos has the entire Lange set (Scribner

  • Print/Export: unexpected behaviour? bug?

I do, for example, the following: Search > Bible search, Select All Bible Text, in Old Testament, in English Standard Version, and enter 'worship'. The search results have two sections: Fuzzy Bible Search and Bible Results. I close Fuzzy Bible Search by clicking the arrow to the left. If, in Bible results I choose Grid, or Verses, or Aligned, and

  • Re: Quick Personal Book Tagging Question

Mattillo, I think you may be confusing Bible milestones with Bible links. For the [Logos personal] book of supposed bible contradictions that you are contemplating then I am guessing you want links to these scripture references. Clicking these links will open your preferred Bible to that reference, hovering over the link will show the verse in your

Thanks Stephen for your work. The background to the three documents included is described in the Wikipedia article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protestation_Returns_of_1641%E2%80%931642 especially the first sentence of the Background paragraph which gives links to further articles. Google books also has a copy of this document: https://books

Yes, that does it. Thank you very much for your help with this and for your continuing help in your many forum contributions. Thanks.

  • Re: Datatype for Turretin's Institutes of Elenctic Theology

Thanks Mark. That works for searching (as you knew!!). What about creating links in personal books? I have tried [[label >> InstitutesOfElencticTheology:1.1.1]] and [[label >> InstitutesOfElencticTheology.Institutes:1.1.1]] and [[label >> InstitutesOfElencticTheology = Institutes:1.1.1]] but no success.

  • Datatype for Turretin's Institutes of Elenctic Theology

I am struggling to find the correct datatype for the new Turretin volumes. Following the instructions here suggests it should be InstitutesOfElencticTheology or possibly InstitutesOfElencticTheology.Institutes but I can get neither to work in a Milestone search. (Institutes doesn't work either!) A short code would be helpful both for searching and marking

  • Re: Need help tagging a word in a PB

There is one further necessary step in formatting the docx file which will be used to compile the PB in order for Doc B's original request to work. Any words in Greek, Hebrew or Latin etc., that you wish to look up in the appropriate lexicon must be marked as being in that langauge. To do this, with your docx file open in Word, look at the bar at the

  • Re: Anyone using Scrivener for Sermons?

I have found that the work-around suggested for Mac users having trouble pasting links to Logos resources also works with Scrivener (in my case, for Windows). See Bradley's post here: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/66752.aspx [In Windows] Ctrl+Alt+C in Logos to copy the location to the clipboard and then in Scrivener [for Windows] select Link

  • Re: BUGS? Startup irregularities

I am happy to report that after a download of 6.3-SR1, and updated versions of the two errant Tabletalk files, and then a restart, both issues I highlighted in my first post on this thread seem to have been addressed. Thanks to Andrew and the rest of the team.

  • Re: BUGS? Startup irregularities

Thanks. I think these Tabletalk files were a problem when they first downloaded (a while ago) which is probably why they were still lying around. I will look forward to the resource update.

  • [resolved] BUGS? Startup irregularities

I reported on this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/105129/727448.aspx#727448 that, I too have had the "Resources are ready to be added to your library. Updates will be added when the application is restarted." message. Several restarts failed to make any difference (except that the number in the blue circle increased to 2 from 1). However

I too have had the "Resources are ready to be added to your library. Updates will be added when the application is restarted." message. Several restarts failed to make any difference (except that the number in the blue circle increased to 2 from 1). However, I have just purchased one book and it has downloaded, installed and indexed without restart

  • Re: Word Macro to Convert Non-Functional Endnotes/Footnotes

Robert, thank you for all your work with this. Now that I have found a workaround to some problems (see below) I am able to make footnotes "live" where before I could not have justified the time that would have been needed. That said, my initial attempts to use the earlier version, and this version of the macro put me off. So I hope my findings will

  • Re: Link Zotero to a Logos Book

I hadn't got round to facing this problem yet, and the solution that I can see working is not straightforward. However, it should save all the work of exporting your whole library and correcting the text file before importing to Zotero (as described above). Step 1: create a new collection called 'updates to 2014_06_20' or similar. Creating the blank

  • Re: Apparent systemic tagging error

The reason for the astericks in the Collects section reflects the printed version where they (appear to) appear without explanation. See here: https://archive.org/stream/commentaryonpsal01nealuoft#page/96/mode/1up The astericks in the Antiphon section are not in the printed version but are used in the Logos version to display the information in the

CORRECTION The second paragraph of Step 6 should read: Now to edit the text file. For Encyclopedias and Lexicons, search for '@misc' (without the quotes) and for Journals, search for '@article', which you will find in the first line of an entry; change these to '@book'. However, do not attempt a search and replace (that would be too easy!). In these

I have done some investigation which has resulted in the following: Step 1: Create a collection of all your resources. Go to Tools > Collections. A new collection named Unnamed Collection will be created. Click on that title and rename it something like All , and then enter rating:>=0 into the “Start with resources matching” box. This will find all

I had a quick look to see what was involved in adding the Logos Hebrew Morphology codes. They seemed largely the same as the WIVU codes (except for Verb Stems) so I had a go at adding them to the wiki page. I hadn't reckoned on all the accent and other markers! Indeed a few I can't get to properly render, but I think the codes are all there. Enjoy John
