• Re: Why all the bundling? Request to Logos/Faithlife staff
Why the bundling in the first place?
One reason is it makes the books less expensive and a lot of us like that Some of those collections are in one big collection: https://www.logos.com/product/120478/crossway-library-expansion-bundle that is mucho more cheaper. I bought the DeYoung book sometime ago in a dead tree format
If you're going to compare with Amazon, the closer comparison is Kindle Unlimited . For that you get access to 1 million titles for $9.99/month (more expensive than Logos Now). However: Although you can choose from a million titles, you can only borrow 10 at a time. The vast majority of the books are bad books that won't sell
Like that verse, "Where there's two or three gathered in my name..." ( Matt. 18:20 ) in its context is not talking about staying home and meeting there because you felt like skipping church, but the principle is there if it happens under unique circumstances...e.g. say my family got a flu virus and we couldn't go to church and we

That's not how Community Pricing works. Every bidder lowers the overall price. If everyone were to bid $1000, but the end result was that $20 would pay for it, than everyone would pay $20.
Wrong, and easy to disprove. Simple example. Production cost is $100. Bidding steps $10, $20, $30. If 5 users

  • Re: Computer Science and the Pastor

I looked into getting a CS degree once but finally decided taking those classes would not help me in any conceivable way. I’ve had various IT related jobs over the years using various skills, all which were self taught. The only “formal” training I’ve had was MCSE Win NT certification, and later I taught some of the classes.

Judging from past CPs like this it would sit on a virtual shelf near the bottom of the dungeon never to be seen again. Besides $56 <choke> is on the high side when more modern information can probably be found in past BAR issues and the internet. That money will go for something I know I'll use.

Several years ago I bought a dish washer from Home Depot. Seventeen months later it quit working. I called the manufacture's warranty repairman (not HD) to come and fix it (for the curious: a fuse hidden in the door needed replaced).
