Dave, I have created a case for resources with long names not being truncated (which I'm fairly certain caused the issue Tommy reported, but is its own issue). This pushed the scrollbar (and the "X" to unhide) out of the window, even in very wide panels. We'll update the thread once these issues have been fixed.
-
I didn't intend to say you should have known that! After all, this isn't the Beta forum. I had to look it up myself to be sure, and figured I'd give the direct reference.

We have an active case for this issue and I have linked it to this thread.

We have an active case for this issue, and will update this thread when we have a solution.
I have found that I lose the Logos Program Icon
We have an active case for this issue and are looking into a solution. I have added a link to this thread.

From the 5.2 Beta 1 Release notes:
Additional metadata fields are no longer truncated when compiling a Personal Book.
The font size for the Description box should be fixed in Beta 2. We will update this thread again once we have confirmed that.
-
This slipped through the cracks when we wrote up the release notes, but this should be fixed in 5.2 Beta 1.
However, is there not a way that Logos could be forced to save these settings by default?
Sorry, I missed that in my description. My above steps are a workaround until a more permanent fix is implemented, since the app is supposed to save these by default.

Please don't create multiple threads for the same problem. Bradley responded to your original post:
This is a known crash in 5.2 Beta 1 (which we only identified internally after Beta 1 shipped). We will be fixing it in an upcoming beta. I'm not sure if there's a workaround.
Okay we should have a fix for you: Open Logos to a blank layout, and resize the window to the size you want Click the red X to close it Click the tray icon to open Logos back up, and then quit the program Open Logos again, and it should now overwrite your preferences and open to the new size Since the window size wasn't being written to preferences

We have noticed that Mac isn't carrying the window size over between sessions as it's supposed to, which may play a part in this. We are looking into it and will update the thread again with what we find.
1) Another persistent popup...
I wasn't able to reproduce this, but if you find a reproducible case please let me know and I will check again. We have an active case for this issue, and I have linked it to this thread.
Can someone at Logos please at least acknowledge this issue and submit a ticket to development?
Sorry that you haven't heard back on this issue. We have an active case filed and are investigating how best to solve this, but unfortunately do not have an estimate on when it will be fixed.

Yes, that is what I meant. For some reason that got converted to a | when I pasted it, and I left it in when I corrected it. Thanks!
It is not clear what options are available for:
I have updated the release notes to include a link to this page: Search Matching Commands
I still see the Topic Section:
I've clarified it a bit. We removed links to topics.logos.com since that has now been superseded by the Topic Guide

We still have an active case for this issue. When it is fixed, we will update the original thread.

My understanding is so that it mimics the layout of running a search from the Home Page, with the Guides opening on the left and the Resources opening on the right. After that, it's the idea that opening 4 resources would be more useful having 2 panels with 2 resources each rather than 4 in 1 panel. It's essentially a convenience for opening a guide
By which I mean that the Preface and related information is missing.
This has been fixed in the 2013-09-30 update to this resource.
