• Re: Logos 7 feature set why cost so high for some and not others?

It's not exactly the same, but if you want to compare with what other companies out there are doing (including the other bible software tools). Think of $300 is the price of the full feature set. $170 as the upgrade price from version 6 to 7. Your example, Microsoft Office seems to stop offering the upgrade price (although they used to have an cheaper

Thanks. That got me started on my search. I eventually ended up using FolderMount I also found out the Logos download a lot of little files, so if I reformat my SD card with smaller cluster size (I ended up using cluster size of 4k) instead of the default 16k or something, then it would
The current version does not natively support storing resources on an external card. There have been some people that have mixed success doing so on their rooted devices. There are threads on here addressing that.
I can get my device rooted. What are the options I have in moving the books to be stored on the SD card

  • Re: Porformance on Latest Intel Atom Chip

Well, one of the constraint is that I wanted something portable that I can carry with me at all times. For me, 8" is already a little too big for that, but it's the smallest screen out there. And the best hardware given the constraint of 8" x86 Windows seems to be okay from people's responses, but not the greatest. Not sure if there are plans to cram

  • Porformance on Latest Intel Atom Chip

Hi, I'm interested in running Logos 6 on a 8" tablet such as the soon to be released Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2. However, it's got a Atom processor on it, and I'm just wondering if the performance is acceptable. For me, I don't mind taking a long time to do indexing, since it is done once only. But when I tried Logos 4 on the first generation Atom processor
I had already bid on this book but I missed the free part until I read your post. If it is going to be free why don't we all bid the highest price to help it along quicker? Am I right in thinking this?
You'd think so, but I don't think people understand how community pricing works. My guess is that most people will

  • Re: The Attraction of the Cross

I think this "experiment" that logos is running is showing how community pricing isn't working as the way it was intended. What was intended in for each person to bid the maximum amount that he is willing to pay for the resource. But what is ending up (with other resources) is that there is a sort of "crowd" effect going on. If the highest price is
Donnie, 4.5 does require an update to the prerequisites, so if you were updating from a pre-4.5 release, you should have gotten the prerequisites installer. The "bootstrapper" program, Logos4Setup.exe, performs a number of actions which are more easily and efficiently handled by a real program than a Windows Installer installation

It's unusable for me: 1.86 first generation ATOM, 2GB RAM, Intel GM500 Graphics, 128GB SSD I suspect it have to do with the number of resource I have also. It's actually okay before it finishes indexing, but after it finishes indexing, I can't do anything in it.

  • Re: Install Logos4 on SSD (Windows 7)

I think you can just install LOGOS4 under a directory of your choosing, including to a different drive. However, during updates, what you need to do is launch logos in administrative mode so that it can properly update the programs files (you'll know when you need to launch logos in administrative mode when during normal update, it fails.)

I have the same problem for a long time. It seems like any file that's fairly big (100MB or greater about), it would repeat the download over and over again when I run update. This is true for update, buying new resource, etc. I had to find the file it is trying to download directly from the FTP site and download it manually. Unfortunately, I don't

I'm using Libronix3, and I found that any files that's big it wouldn't download (all the ZIBBC*). If I uncheck the download box for those files, the rest of the book gets downloaded fine. With those big books, it just starts over the download after awhile. I think this is a bug in the libronix updater, I remember having this problem with some other
