  • Future implamentation of Sentence Diagram features?

Will there be the ability to use markups like in L3? And will we be able to grab a phrase in "text flow diagrams", and move them above their current line instead of just over or down? Here is a simple diagram from L3 that shows both these abilities. Notice the phrases "having no hope" and "without God in the world" are moved above their lines. In L4

  • Re: O.T. antecedant to ois in Ephesians 2:3

I see your point about the OpenText.org Syntactically Analyzed Greet NT. There are two other resources that do link it to verse 1. "Opentext.org syntactically analyzed Greek new testament clause analysis" and the "Lexham clausal outline of the Greek new testament". There is actually an affect on the interpretation. The Kairos author maintains that Paul

Thanks Todd. I was tempted to post the article from Kairos:A Begginning Greek Grammer as noted above, but it is large, and I don't think this is the proper forum for what would become a debate. But I really appreciate your post. Still, strange how ALL the analysis resources have that pronoun's antecedant in verse 1.

  • O.T. antecedant to ois in Ephesians 2:3

Most, practically all, translations translate the pronoun as "whom", with its apparent antecedent being "sons of disobedience" in verse 2. However, when I look at the sentence analysis resources, it seems that its antecedent is "trespasses" in verse 1, making the proper translation to be "which". The resource "Kairos: a begging Greek Grammar" agrees

Team Logos have once again proven their commitment to their customers. Praise be to God for raising up this company! Just as scriptures say, when one rejoices, we all rejoice.

I guess if I had PBB, I would be hoping for this, but my number one hoped for missing feature is diagramming. I hope that if PBB is next, that it goes quick and easy

  • Re: Sentence Diagram Error

Oh well, that didn't work. I really appreciate your effort and help, Dave. I will either contact tech support or wait for the feature to be implamented in L4. Blessings to you.

Same here, though I need to make two to three different changes before it happens.

  • Sentence Diagram Error

Good morning, I get this error every time I try to open or create a sentence diagram in L3: My PC is 64 bit Windows 7. I regularly use L4, but sentence diagramming is not implemented yet in L4. Does anybody have any idea what the error is and how to fix it? Thanks

  • Re: The Black Screen

Yeah, I get it now and then. And I have all the recommended PC specs. All I do is minimize and then restore the program, and the black goes away. Sounds like a rendering problem within the program.

Collapsing results would be great. And the ability to go "classic" view with topics. The good: Customized highlighting and importing. Nice job! Importing notes. Nice job! Prayer lists. Very nice. I hope to see some more attention to this though. Keep up the great work, Logos. I really do believe that the interaction that Logos has with its users is

  • Re: Warning: Please check your update channel

Ready and waiting too! I really hope that diagramming is tackled right away. This is the ONE feature that I miss most. For some reason, my L3 version errors when trying to run this add on. But that's okay, L4 beta c is on the way!

  • Re: Is there a Bible with no verses, chapters or headings?

Jacob, my method is very similar to yours. I will put the verses in MS Word like you, but then I will go through the text document and determine the paragraph separations. I started doing this when I realized that the different transations started and stopped paragraphs differently. Since I like to study at the paragraph level, I did some personal education

  • Re: highlighting text

Actually, having this ability would greatly improve the highlighting function! It would definitely speed things up. Highlighting can be a real chore the way it is set up right now.

  • Re: Should I Beta 5 or not Beta 5?

Mark, I wasn't aware that we can do this. Have you done this? Or has anybody else done this successfully? I always participated in Betas for L3, but not L4 becuase I wasn't sure if the actual studying and personal customizing would transfer over to the final release of the version being tested. Thanks.

  • Re: Playing "Four Corners" when starting L4

It may have something to do with different layouts that you saved. Mine would do this too. It seemed to be cycling through my various layouts that I had saved before settling on the last desktop instance. Once I deleted all my layouts, and stuck with just one, then that stopped. Your "four corners" might be something else, though. Now, about wives putting

  • Re: Shout-Out to Logos

Amen. Though I also keep L3 for a few reasons: Sentence diagramming and existing notes & highlighting. Also, I wonder what other things that L4 will look to import from L3 as it develops. Still, I rarely use L3. That being said, I still enjoy L3! If L4 never came along, I would have been happy. If my budget wouldn't allow for a new PC to push L4, I

Thanks everybody! I really enjoy the threads that lead to study method! I have started an inductive blog site for one our men's bible studies at church. Men Of Courage . It's in its infancy, but I plan to add instructions. The site is geared toward letting the men correspond throughout the week as we go through study handouts. To the original poster

  • Right click, copy suggestion

This may already have been suggested. It would be nice to have the choice when I right click, have the copy tab selected, and then be able to select copy or copy with citation. Instead of going through the program settings and changing this depending on what I'm copying.

I just wanted to add my appreciation for Hans' post. I believe that his reasons for switching back to L3 are very legitimate, and sadly, not too rare of late. I am glad that you posted, Hans, as I believe that the good people of Logos need this kind of feed back to know where to prioritize there efforts. I am praying right now for your ministry, that
