  • Re: Windows 8 & Logos- Logos Team thoughts?

Guess I should proof read my posts. Ignore the second "how Logos". Also, I don't know why but I have a tendency any more to use the ellipses, and don't know why....

  • Windows 8 & Logos- Logo's Team thoughts?

Just curious what Bob and the Logos team think of the changes coming in Windows 8.... I know that we'll still be able to run legacy applications, but am curious long term how Logos might envision the future... in many ways the new format moves a lot to the cloud and web based apps... plans for that with Logos? Can we still have such incredible tools

  • Re: Automatic PBB Sync Via Dropbox

Something else to consider is the reliability of the service, and Ed Bott, has a pretty good article about some reasons he chose live mesh over dropbox.. including a problem dropbox had with accounts... the more we rely on the cloud, the more its something to consider... here's a link to the article if you want to read it... http://www.zdnet.com/blog

Yes it's free. I use it to sync all of my stuff between home and office computer... here's a link to Live Mesh http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mesh?os=other interestingly enough I saw a post on twitter right after I had posted re: Live Mesh that gave it's limitations which is... It would seem that you could pull of the same thing with Windows Live Mesh, which runs on Windows and Mac computers as well. You can choose which folders to sync between devices, so if you creat the PBB file in the same folder which is synced between various devices. I haven't really played around with PBB yet, but I may have to do so and try the Windows

  • Re: Wills and Your Library

Logos does provide for the transfer of one's Library... the info is in the EULA and I would assume you would need to have it in your Will along with instructions for contacting Logos to have the license transferred. There is a charge which is very reasonable.. currently $20. Here is the section from the EULA... TRANSFERS At Logos' sole discretion you

  • Re: Logos for Android 1.0 Beta 3

I updated it on my Droid... which is about 1 1/2 old... the first two betas had a noticible delay when advancing to the next page... I've used it on a couple of hospital calls just because there are some times when I don't have my Bible with me, now that I need something a little bigger than my old 6pt pocket bible... the delay was a little troubling

Robert, None taken in the least. I'm pretty easy going... I've heard I look like a lot of different people over the years... I won't even go into all of them... one of the more recent was this pic of Ed Norton (other than the blue eyes), who was also sporting a goatee, which I don't have at the moment (just the 'stache during the summer). And I wasn

I don't believe it's in open beta yet... just available to a limited number of beta testers, or it'd be made available on the website for anyone to download...

  • Resources By Third Party- Updates

Just a quick question regarding 3rd party resources (in this case the Book of Concord by Kolb-Wengert through Augsburg-Fortress Press)... once a resource is produced in Logos format, do any corrections, updates etc., come by way of the 3rd Party or by Logos? In the case of Kolb-Wegnert, the Lutheran Confessions Book of Concord uses a common notation

Just to make sure I'm not doing the wrong thing in clearing the app data, do I need to go to the settings in the phone settings and then clear data there, or is there something in the Logos app itself where I do this? Thanks Dave

  • Re: ESV Downloadable?

The mystery deepens! I was able to download the ESV Study Bible, as well as the Lutheran Study Bible, both of which use the ESB as the base text, but still have no button to download the ESV. Thus my pondering the resources that are downloadable or not. It doesn't seem like the device would make a difference, and so long as it's a downloadable resource

  • Re: ESV Downloadable?

This is interesting. It would seem to me that if a book is downloadable, it would be across all of the different devices. I can download other books, but don't have a download button on the ESV. Is there any official word from a Logos Android developer why a book would be downloadable on one smartphone or device, but not on another. For the record,

  • ESV Downloadable?

I use the ESV as my main Bible, and know that Logos uses it in a lot of resources too, but in the Android Beta, I don't show it as a book I can download. Is this the case, and if so, will it be something that will be available for download. I'd like my main Bible to be on my Droid for offline access if at all possible, so I can remove other Bible apps
