Thanks for the help. Here's an odd thing. I recreated the search above and got the same results but it took 160 seconds. I have a SSD on an i5 Windows 10 with 16 GB of RAM. I did a "NOT INTERSECTS" search of the same thing and it took 30 seconds. I did a Bible search for "God" and took 1.27 seconds but the analysis took 284 seconds. Any idea why this

I have Logos Now. I am not sure how to find out the last package I bought. I think I had Logos 5 Silver. I had something Logos 7 but I don't know what. How would I find out?

  • Re: Subject search for noun form

Thanks. What exactly does "INTERSECTS" do? The Wiki says it identifies parts of a text or item that overlaps or intersects another one. Is there a more full definition? In a search like this, does it show where a word is translated as a particular word? What would it do in other cases? I have Logos Now which is Logos 8 I believe. In some places, the

  • Subject search for noun form

I am trying to do a search to find every place in the NASB (or anything really) where the Hebrew elohim is used for God (vs. gods, angels, etc). I have found instructions (for an old version of Logos) on how to do a subject search with a verb-lemma, but not with a noun. And I can't seem to figure it out. Logos 8 apparently no longer has a clause search
How about: Right Click Add Bookmark (within the book resource or any resource).
Any plans for something like this? With 9 bookmarks, I don't always remember which one I am reading. So I have to go look at which one to save it to, then go back and save it. It would be much easier and more intuitive to simply bookmark from

That's a major deficiency in Logos 8 that I hope will be quickly corrected. As it now stands, where do I have to go to get that?

  • Search Bar and Passage Breakdown

In Logos 7, when I started typing in a passage [e.g., Acts 17:1], various breakdowns/sections would pop up as suggestions which indicated basic outlines of the text. That does not appear to work in Logos 8. Is that a setting that can be changed?

  • Pasting Greek without footnote

In pasting Greek text (a word or two) into Word, it is now placing a footnote (with an indentation and a return). I don't think it used to do this. Is that a setting that can be changed so that when I paste Greek it just gives the words rather than what is below? οὐκ ἐπίστευεν Eberhard Nestle et

Thanks. So there is no way to do it without losing the search results?

  • Hide Search Term Highlighting

How do you remove the highlighting of search terms when you open a resource? I search for "biblical theology" and every occurrence of "biblical" and "theology" is highlighted. I thought it was a visual filter but I don't have anything there. Thanks

  • NASB and YHWH

I noticed today for the first time that when I open a NASB by itself, YHWH is in not the traditional small caps format. I don't remember it being like this previously. However, in the window in which I have the AFAT and NASB side by side, YHWH is is small caps. Anyone experience this to know what is going on?

  • Hebrew Text and Parsing/Glosses

When hovering over a word in BHS/WIVU, it gives the parsing and the root, but no gloss. When hovering over a word in AFAT, it gives the parsing, root, gloss but all kinds of other information that is not helpful to me in most cases. All I want in the root, the parsing, and the gloss. Is there a way either to (1) get a gloss in BHS or (2) remove the

  • Re: Notes

Thanks. The "resource-specific note" setting was not one I was familiar with. The other question deals with the ease of taking note. The logos note files are all setup in boxes it looks like rather than a page(s) of information such as Word. I want the Word file kind of set up rather than the individual notes that you can't read without opening them

  • Notes

Why don't books default to the proper note file? If I am reading in Book A and highlight something, it puts the highlight in Book B. Is there a way to fix this so that highlights go to the proper place? Also, is there a way to have a notes files be just a text file? I use Word for exegetical notes on books. I typically copy the text into word and then

  • MS Word Smart Tags

After upgrading to LN/L7 from 6, my smart tag for MS Word 2010 went away meaning I can no longer right-click on a referene and paste it in. I tried the usual powershell script which gives an error. Now I can't even find the Logos directory on my computer. How do I get the smart tags working again? Thanks
