I'm just not very much sold on the idea of a Faithlife Group. If I'm right, it's essentially Faithlife's attempt at Social media. How successful is it? Which would get better exposure, a Faithlife Group or Facebook Group? Which would be more logical? Everybody, it seems, is on Facebook constantly.
Facebook would

I would participate. The advantage of a Faithlife group is the ability to share filters and other documents.

From a Baptist pastor who did Diamond in Logos 5, Collectors in Logos 6 and who has now been more selective in 7 and 8 (since I already have most of what I want): the peak library for a generalist, evangelical preacher is standard Gold. I am grateful for a massive library purchased over a number of years, but if I had it to do over, Gold is the place

I am usually in the camp of defending Logos' pricing, but $9.99 is stupidly expensive for a workflow for people who have bought the datasets or subscribe to Connect. I hope they are eventually treated like shared documents instead of products, or at the very least are made free. I will get the one free one, but cannot imagine why anybody would pay for

  • Re: Same as Search

This is a great time to use the sense search. Doing a search in Ephesians for <Sense church> will give you things tagged as church, with all of its subsenses (body of Christ, family of God, etc). If you search for <Sense=church> it will only give the exact match, and will not include subcategories. I developed that by right-clicking a reference

They have already answered your question well (KS4J, as always, is very helpful - looking at the term in the sense lexicon is the best way to find a good, broad search term). It misses references like 2 Samuel 19:19,32,37,etc, because it speaks about the "Jordan" without the word river. You could try and think of every possible body of water manually

Others have already explained how to permanently edit the layout that the Go box generates. I think for the average new user, removing the Exegetical Guide is a good move toward simplicity and clarity. If I imagine getting one of our Sunday School teachers to use Logos, the behavior is exactly what I would want for them. Since power users can get the
