  • Re: Logos, Please "fix" Print/Export and Footnotes

I don't know if this helps or not as I don't know what specifically you are doing without an example, but what I always do is (a) Make sure Program Settings/Copy Footnotes is set to Yes (b) highlight the section I want to copy, which includes footnote(s), (c) right click, ensure Selection is clicked on the right side, and pick Copy. When I paste, the

Their Strong's and L-W is the same, In Cascadia their tagging is the same. If you look at one we know refers to Christ like John 1:1, "In the beginning was the

So many subtleties to the packaging, glad you figured that out seeing mine. If you don't hear anything, call Logos tech support or sales - they may have a way to help you. It couldn't hurt!

  • Re: Bring back the BAGD

I can't guarantee this would always work, but I bought a CD of resources used about 2 years ago. When I tried to register it, it was Logos 3 at the time, I got an error message of the sort "This package has already been registered". So I Called Logos customer support, and since I had the CD and I could read them the serial code on the CD that's used

I never knew about #1, as it's easy enough for me to either dock the query window in another pane for fine-tuning, or under Windows just Alt-Tab to it - both are faster IMHO. Note my picture below, I don't even SHOW a name of the query even though the Syntax Search I used is titled! For #2, I am not sure when this changed, but Syntax searches may use

Mine started doing this the other day, and then it stopped and does not do it now. I have not been able to figure out the dependency. The only index-related thing I did besides getting a new resource was I did a Rebuild Personal Index.

I have all my Personal Book docx files in a folder in my Dropbox. That way, when I add or make changes to a document, it's already there for my other computer to just Build it - the metadata comes across right away in a Sync. Dropbox is already supported on all the popular mobile devices as well, so if PB build support comes to mobile one day, or anything

It sounds like a great vision, thanks for sharing it Bob. I am on board 100%. I was not a huge fan of Faithlife, community features etc. in the beginning, but I am being won over - I can see the vision of how these types of things will enhance my own study.

You could certainly share the original source docx file there unless there were any copyright issues of sharing it - and then people could compile on their own computer(s)...

This iwll be very cool. I don't know that any Bible software has comprehensive reading ability of Hebrew like we do with the Greek, if it works that well. I see ones that can read words, but that's about it. Please correct me if I have missed a package that supports it!

  • Can dataset taggin help with Reading PLans?

After reading Bob's discussion about datasets, tagging, resources, software and how they work together, I got to thinking - maybe some sort of tagging might be used to make reading plans better....if you create a reading plan today, the divisions from day to day, week to week etc. seem to be very random. I have had some divisions in mid sentence. Others

Thanks Bob for the explanation. Very well thought out, no surprise there! Of the three choices you mention, it really comes out to: 1. Give it away for free and make it up elsewhere - probably appeases more users who see the word FREE related to Logos, and assume most everything is. As you mention, bad for Logos, and ultimately bad for users who (like

  • Re: NEW Jerome Biblical Commentary

I just checked on this a few weeks ago with Andrew Jones, Catholic products manager. Logos would love to have this on the Logos platform, the hangup is the publisher. The rights to the New JBC are owned by Prentice Hall. Prentice Hall, like a lot of large secular publishers, does not seem very interested in Logos or their activites. So Logos is continuing
