John, oh yes , I forgot to praise the 27 - inch color monitor. But my first colour graphics card CGA was already with four colours. That was in 1990. Lynden, remember: 1984 - the Orwellian year. And where are we today? By the way: I have two SSD in my system - the 512 GB Samsung 840 EVO and Samsung 840 ssd 120 GB, - to get back to the initial question

I wonder how big the change really is. My first PC was a 8086 IBM desktop in 1988. It had a 5.25 floppy disk drive, 512 KB RAM, nothing more. My documents I wrote with "Star Writer". I could highlight the words and print in bold, italic, center or block. Ok, I had only a 9-needle printer, but it was a real miracle how well everything worked. Today,

  • Re: PDF reader

Robert, I agree, but I found a way to convert the "picture" in Unicode text. It then will not be formatted, but you can save it as a docx-document. After this step, it is a searchable text in logos. I got good results with a 350-MB-File of a Strack/Billerbeck-Commentary. First you must convert the pdf with NUANCE-PDF ( I have this) in docx-format. In

Jeremy, a second remark: If you want to transfer your Logoslibrary to your second ssd, check this: https://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive There was also a discussion in the logos forum about this matter in 2013. Splitting the Datas to transfer them on a second drive seems to be difficult. Look here: https://community.logos.com/forums

Jeremy, sorry for the delay. I checked my emailaccount in the night and received your request. I think, it´s better for you to follow one of the links below, because I don´t know the Mac-OS: The first one is a good step to step instruction. You must check out, which description is simple enough for you. http://9to5mac.com/2015/02/24/upgrade-ssd-macbook

Hello Francis, I own a notebook with an INTEL i7 2000-2800 Mhz with a "normal" HD and an AMD Desktop with an AMD FX 6350@ 3500 Mhz and a SSD 840 EVO. The performance of Logos is on both Systems very well. I have installed Logos 5 Gold, Logos 6 Starter, the full Crossgrade and some other Bundles, approximately 8500 books and documents until now. The

Hello Michael, basically, I think I need not to know everything, but it´s good to know where to find it. The Internet is a treasure trove, and a lot of it is free or very cheap. Experienced programmers sometimes offer their lessons to test this yourself. So I found the macro, which can remove text frames in an entire document. Sometimes you have to

Hello David, there are different solutions for this problem. You can take a simple freeware like "PDFill Free". It has a "crop"-Function, where you can select "All pages". Then it cuts the span, which you have selected. Here ist the Link: https://www.pdfill.com/pdf_tools_free.html The more comfortable way ist Infix pdf pro. I have the standard version

Hello Gerald, in the meantime I tested the macro above again in a short document with a lot of text frames. I think I inserted the correct and full functional batch. If you copy and paste the script mentioned above in your macro-editor, it should function without failure. Because I am working with word 2007, you have to transfer this in your newer word

David, enjoy it. I am glad I could help. Liam, here is a site with good information about ocr-producers. Omnipage/Nuance runs on a Mac. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_optical_character_recognition_software But I have the impression that Mac Users are more happy with ABBYY Finereader. I worked with different versions (4 to 9) during a 10

Hello John, a Microsoft Moderator ( http://jay-freedman.info ) writes: A procedure starts with "Sub ()" or "Function () As ", and it ends with the matching line "End Sub" or "End Function". Almost everything else must be between those lines, except for lines starting with the words "Dim", "Const", "Public", and a few others. If you have a line that

Hello Gerald, I don´t know, if this could solve your Problem, but you should give it a try: I found a macro, which erases the textframes. I mentioned it before in my posts about Nuance (see below in this post). If you start the macro, your docx-document can be easily marked. There is also a helpful link, where you get good instructions to remove Tags

Hello David, sorry for the late reply. At the weekend, we had 10 US-American Pastors and Missionaries from Los Angeles as Guests in our Church. Therefore, I had no time to check my Emailaccount. They brought a Haiti-Expo to Cologne and promoted their projekt (an orphanage in Haiti). It was very very inspiring. O.k., now to your Question. Here is the

The LORD is risen! He is risen indeed!" - Der HERR ist auferstanden! Er ist wahrhaftig auferstanden! This morning, when our congregation came together, we started our worship with this joyful exclamation. After a short sermon we had a mini-musical. It was very inspiring and nice. Then we had a lot of guests at our home, and now it is evening, - the
