  • SUGGESTION: Inspired Imperfection by Gregory Boyd

Inspired Imperfection by Greg Boyd Gleason Archer’s Encyclopedia of Biblical Difficulties tries to explain the booboos. Could there be a simpler explanation? How many preachers do you know that would survive a criticism of Bible inerrancy? What, exactly, does “God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16) mean? If we assume that a perfect God would

Welcome to the forums, Harry, and thanks for the news. Unfortunately, even after the latest Logos 8 update, the cursor is still not visible for me when editing a Note.

[quote user="Pastor Dan Cleghorn"] I, too, have the latest Win10 version 1909 update and the cursor does not show up on the second monitor in notes and in certain fields in the Sermon Editor. The problem in notes is annoying but you can still add notes. You just have to click and type, hoping you clicked in the right place before typing away. [/quote

I forgot to mention that even when Win10 was updated to version 1909 and all the latest hotfixes were installed, the problem (no cursor in second monitor) still was not fixed. Sorry.

You're right about Win10 being out of date. The strange part is that whenever I checked for latest updates, Windows said I was up-to-date. Now it is. Unfortunately, updating Windows did not fix the missing-cursor problem. [sigh] Do you have any other steps I might take?

[quote user="Bradley Grainger (Faithlife)"] We are still investigating this issue. In the meantime, Microsoft has released KB4534132 with the following release note: Addresses incorrect width of the text-insertion caret in TextBox et al., when the system DPI exceeds 96. In particular, the caret rendered nothing on a monitor with lower DPI than the primary

Suggestion: Is there someone in the Bellingham Washington area having this problem so that a software engineer from Faithlife can pay a visit to debug it on-site? (Nothing beats hands-on. I once chased a problem like this for a year before discovering the obscure setting that caused it.)

  • Re: Logos 9 Wishlist

My long-time wish is easy (I think) to implement: When the table of contents for a Bible expands to show all the chapters for a book, it fills the whole pane. So if you have expanded the chapters for several books, it's hard to scroll to a different book because you can't see where you are. It needs a button to Collapse All. Then you can easily see

Thanks for replying, Fred. It does not surprise me that the (rare) behavior is not duplicatable. When I place the cursor at the end of the last line shown above and press [Enter] to get a new line, The cursor moves under the "R" on the next line. If I click the [Increase Indent] icon, the cursor jumps to the right as expected, but if I click the [Decrease

Thanks for replying, Fred. The problem appears to be hardware-dependent. Some users experience this, and others don't.This is one of those bugs like "the dog that didn't bark." A change in one part of the code affects code wa-a-ay over in a different section. If I were one of FL's software engineers assigned to fix this, I would begin by going through

  • Note text formatting

Is there a way to change paragraph formatting while editing a Note? Example: The bottom line of an existing Note has been indented using the icon. Then when I press [Enter] to add a new line and begin adding that line's text, it is also indented. No problem. I'll just click the icon that reduces indentation. No joy. Every attempt to dis-indent (new

Hi, John: I see this behavior on my iPhone app because I have lots going on in the app. I don't see this on my desktop computer 9more memory, I guess) The "freeze" you are seeing is just Logos software trying to show you everything about the text on the current screen. If the resource you are reading is not linked to other resources, or has notes or

It took awhile to revise all sixty layouts. It appears to have fixed the zombie layouts. Some parts of Logos go into "Lassie Mode," where it seems to be saying, "I'm helping you."
