As for adding them one at a time, are you seeing long delays in the drop down populating after entering the reference?
I'm seeing long delays after entering the reference--up to a minute. Is there a way to speed this up?

How would like a feature that not only saves your place in a book, but also: Saves your place in one or more commentaries on the same screen Saves your place in dictionaries on the same screen Saves the open note you were working on, all on the same screen This is what you get with Layouts. Click on the Layouts icon. In the upper right corner of the

  • Re: Logos 8 recent update to 8.2.0. 0015 and Font Notes Format

The font change in Logos 8.2 that I noticed is that Hebrew is now pasted into my Notes as the SBL Hebrew font that I used as default in Logos 7. I no longer need to edit the font on each new Hebrew word in Notes. Thank you, Logos!

  • New Note functionality?

In Logos 7, the best way I could find to keep columns of data aligned was to create a table in Microsoft Word, then copy and paste it into the note. Logos 8 does not accept pasted tables, although previously-pasted tables are intact. How to align columns neatly in Logos 8 Notes? Adding extra spaces ahead of each column leaves raggedy columns. Not pretty

  • Hebrew discrepancy

In my ignorance, I expected Hebrew dictionaries to be consistent. DBL Hebrew has: רְאוּבֵן (reʾû·ḇēn) While TWOT has: רְ וּבֵן (rĕ ûbēn) Reuben. Is this merely a typo by one or the other, or is there more to it than that?

  • Re: CRASH while editing L8 Note

Thanks for the reply, Ed. The more I try to reproduce what happened the other day (six times in a row), the more it won't crash. Perhaps the update to Logos 8.2 fixed it. (shrug) Thanks again, Jack

  • CRASH while editing L8 Note

Repeatable crash occurred while editing note. 4331.LogosCrash.zip Steps to reproduce: Launch Logos 8 on desktop in Windows 10. Open Genesis layout. Scroll to Genesis 42:17.
I have notes in the desktop version that don't seem at all visible in the mobile app. I manually made sure it was fully synced, but nothing. Any clues?
Dale: I saw the same problem right after upgrading from L7 to L8 on my iOS phone. When I deinstalled and reinstalled, the problem disappeared.

Might this be on the list of features to be added back in? Perhaps Philana will chime in.

4 – When hovering the mouse over a note in your bible using Logos 7, you used to be able to see, not only the content in the note but the NAME of the NOTEBOOK that the note was in. Now I do not know where the note is located because you can no longer see the name of the notebook any longer

The Lexham Hebrew Interlinear (LHI) at Isaiah 66:15 has an odd translation under the Hebrew word for "fire.".

Ken, you are correct. I should have checked ALL the hits in my results. Perhaps the kind folks at Faithlife will tell us how to search for a phrase, rather than the individual words.

  • Re: searching for phrases in notes tool

If you search for three words, you get all matches for any of the words. It's as if you typed OR to separate the words. If you only want to match the phrase "kingdom of heaven," you need to enclose the search string in double quotes. Just be sure to clear the filter facets, and you're good to go.

  • Speed tip

While adding anchors to a note, a minimal abbreviation for a Bible book takes a minute or so. Mt for Matthew Re for Revelation Ge for Genesis But if I type a longer abbreviation, the Anchor reference is resolved immediately. Matt for Matthew Revel for Revelation Genes for Genesis
I am using Logos 8 and have really appreciated the new Notes tool. Today I wanted to search for a phrase in all of my notebooks. If I type the phrase "kingdom of heaven" (enclosed in either quotation marks or brackets) in the search bar at the top of the Notes Tool, it will show all notes that have all three words in them

Ummm, Ruben, in your post, you wrote of backslash, (\) but used slash (/) in your example. Would that make a difference in how Logos works?
