• Re: Bug: Creating subfolders in the Favorites Tool (Mac)

I understand you have a case to fix this. Just wanted to advise that I also am experiencing the same issue. On my machine, Logos does not crash, it just pinwheels. I have attached my log files in case that helps you track the bug. Running 7.16.0.0012 MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 I searched the console and could not find anything that seemed related to

  • Best practices - resources outside your Logos library

Can anybody recommend any good practices/strategies for getting information from non-Logos resources into Logos. For example, if I have a book, an article on the web, a PDF file, what is the best way to extract the notes and get them into Logos? Notes document? A single note? I've used the sermon template for some, and personal books for others. None

It was a brilliant move for the Logos developers to include the file-linking functionality. I have used that feature quite a bit for things like taking notes on a soruce document and then keeping a link to the source document in my file archive. That’s one of those really nice, subtle touches that makes this software so delightful to use.

  • Re: Some Help with Notes, Clippings, and Highlights Please

Graham, thank you. This is helpful. I'm glad you've pointed this out re the new notes tool. I have not adjusted my mindset to having a single notebook -- or no notebook, as the case may be -- so I still have notes in the separate walled gardens of my existing notebooks. I'm glad to know that the concept is to have one global notes file and I will start

Tell your friend to try the beta. He or she will be very happy with the experience.

  • Re: Bug? - Cannot delete or rename custom highlighting palettes

Graham - You were right. That worked. I switched the setting, removed and renamed the pesky palettes and then provided my preference, once again, to the notes tool. Thank you kindly! P.S. In case the alliteration was too over the top for a Tuesday morning: I followed your instructions and it worked.

  • Re: Note Tags

I'm late to this party, but I share the feelings expressed here. I've use a technique similar to Reuben's so I can remember to complete my tagging (and be able to easily locate the untagged notes) when next I'm on desktop. But I have found that the absence of tagging has made me avoid using what is otherwise a fantastic mobile app.

  • Bug: Courses tool unresponsive after clicking triangle menu; screen not refreshing [L8.7(SR2) macOS]

Before I describe the issue I'm observing, I want to let you know that I have the Catalina beta installed on my machine. So, perhaps, if some with Mojave is also experiencing this issue they can confirm. Otherwise, this may just be a problem associated with the beta OS. Disclaimer aside, here is the issue. I am experiencing two main problems that I

Clicking that triangle renders the tab unresponsive.

  • Re: Tags on the iOS App?

Roadmap was a bad choice of words. I just wonder if tags are planned or not. It's funny, on L7, the mobile app was actually closer in functionality (re notes, highlighting) to the desktop app than it is with L8. The mobile app has not kept pace at all with desktop. That's a problem because as we get used to the features available on desktop, you want

  • Tags on the iOS App?

What is the roadmap for tags on iOS? Will we be able to add, remove, and edit them on iOS soon (or at least eventually)? Ever since tags came to the notes tool I've come to rely on them and find it hard to get my annotations done on iOS because I have to go add the tags when I'm back on the desktop. I'm sorry if the answer to this is some place that
Can you do the outline without hearing styles? Logos views heading styles as an attempt to create a table of contents. (Open the sidebar TOC and you will see what I mean)
I tried this. If I remove styles altogether, the multilevel numbering did show up after a build. But without linking the list-levels to a style

  • Bug?: Crash after changing Note Icon (Logos macOS)

I am observing a frequent but intermittent crash of logos when I change a note icon. It happens several times a day but usually does not happen repeatedly after a crash. I am using Logos on macOS Catalina. Logos Ver: 8.13.0.0008 Catalina: 10.15.4 (19E287)

I am very happy with Logos 8, and I agree that further improvements and refinements (particularly to datasets and tools that are already available) is the most important focus. As for specifics, there are so many great suggestions on these pages that I like, I will try to distinguish those suggestions to which I wanted to add my agreement with the ones
