I tried this. If I remove styles altogether, the multilevel numbering did show up after a build. But without linking the list-levels to a style, I have to apply formatting individually to paragraphs throughout an approx 100-page document. That's a daunting task. Not to mention, I lose the structure.

Yes, that's certainly true. I intentionally did not upload to begin with. I was mostly looking for troubleshooting tips: i.e. what things might cause this to happen? So, I didn't want to upload the file. That said, I created an excerpt of the document that matches the screenshot above. It compiles the same way and uses the same styles definitions.

Okay. Here you go. First screen shot is of the Word Doc, showing its structure: Second screen shot is the same section as a compiled personal book

  • Troubleshooting a personal-book building problem.

When compiling one of my personal books, the outline numbering that exists in the Word docx file is disappearing on the build (in Logos, not the Word doc itself). The log file presents no errors or warnings. The outline numbering used to present correctly, but I modified something in the Word doc when editing it, and somehow it strips (or doesn't recognize

We have tag editing in the beta now, and the feature is working great. This is EXCELLENT!

  • Re: Tags on the iOS App?

Roadmap was a bad choice of words. I just wonder if tags are planned or not. It's funny, on L7, the mobile app was actually closer in functionality (re notes, highlighting) to the desktop app than it is with L8. The mobile app has not kept pace at all with desktop. That's a problem because as we get used to the features available on desktop, you want

  • Tags on the iOS App?

What is the roadmap for tags on iOS? Will we be able to add, remove, and edit them on iOS soon (or at least eventually)? Ever since tags came to the notes tool I've come to rely on them and find it hard to get my annotations done on iOS because I have to go add the tags when I'm back on the desktop. I'm sorry if the answer to this is some place that

  • Re: How to Export Highlights with Citations?

I have this same question: how can I get my notes to include the citations along with my note-text (if any) when I export them. This afternoon, I posted this same question as yours in the Faithlife group for the Notes Tool. If you copy a selected passage, of course, you get the citations when you paste it. But that is not helpful when you are trying

Clicking that triangle renders the tab unresponsive.

  • Bug: Courses tool unresponsive after clicking triangle menu; screen not refreshing [L8.7(SR2) macOS]

Before I describe the issue I'm observing, I want to let you know that I have the Catalina beta installed on my machine. So, perhaps, if some with Mojave is also experiencing this issue they can confirm. Otherwise, this may just be a problem associated with the beta OS. Disclaimer aside, here is the issue. I am experiencing two main problems that I

This is great. I wonder if you might get more attention if you posted it on Faithlife or in the Facebook Logos group. I'm always looking for new highlighting ideas. Here are a couple that I created.

I'm late to this party, but I share the feelings expressed here. I've use a technique similar to Reuben's so I can remember to complete my tagging (and be able to easily locate the untagged notes) when next I'm on desktop. But I have found that the absence of tagging has made me avoid using what is otherwise a fantastic mobile app.

That is a good work around. That may hold me over. And a lot of these are tied to Bible references, so that’s a good hook. Thank you

  • Clippings - External resources

Is there any chance that the Clippings tool will ever let us clip material from sources outside our Logos library? There are so many things that I’d prefer to capture as a clipping (as opposed to a note) because of the way I use clippings. For example, if I’m working on a message, I like to keep all my quotations together and organized in

I have had a good experience thus far with the anchor functionality and using full-screen mode. On desktop, we can also add anchors to Factbook entries. Will we also be able to do that on iOS? (This request should not be construed to imply a feature request.)

  • Pasting resource citations in iOS apps

I frequently like to copy text from a resource and paste into a note anchored to a Bible verse. On desktop this is easy because the paste function includes the resource citation. L8 Mobile (at least on iOS) does not do this. I would love to have this functionality on mobile, if it's possible.
