• Onyx Boox T68 eink ereader for Logos books - Questions for other owners

I bought the Onyx Boox T68 eink open Android reader to use with Logos. It's working well for me, and I'm enjoying it! I have a couple questions for others with this ereader. One, when I'm reading a book in Logos, sometimes I want to look up a word in the dictionary. This is very simple on the kindle app, but I don't see anything obvious through Logos

  • Logos proprietary epaper ereader

Perhaps I missed it, but in my handful of google searches on this subject, I haven't seen this suggestion: I understand the DRM concerns of exporting logos books to free formats, so that suggestion is an unlikely candidate. How about Logos commissioning it's own epaper device. I would likely pay the same price as a kindle for this. I wonder if Sony
The one thing that I learned when I got started with Logos 4 and then 5, was that Logos really works best once you move up your library package up a few notches, you enjoy Logos the way it's meant to be. Money well spent.
Why do you think that is?

  • Re: E-ink device for Logos App Android

I'm hoping that the logos folks will invest in this technology perhaps by improving their tablet app to work well with epaper devices. I'm considering some NICNT and OT resources, but don't want to purchase until I know I can use an epaper device for comfortable reading.

  • Re: Can I Read Logos Books on an e-ink reader?

You might avoid the T68. I bought one for reading Logos books, and it is working for me, but for the problems that I deal with, it's certainly not worth the $200 that it cost. The problems I'm having are similar to the ones described on the Amazon reviews . The idea of the T68 is right though. You need an e-ink device that has open android. There are

I'm happy to see conversations about this here, and I also hope that faithlife begins to notice ereaders as a viable option. I'm also a Onyx Boox T68 owner, but I'm disappointed with the quality of the device. I guess that's the price of being an early adopter. When I upgrade to Logos 6, I will try the send-to-kindle feature, but I like having the ability

I also noticed that if I change the font size then I can see more of the box, but it's still truncated at a comfortable size.

  • Bible app question in Stack Exchange

I asked this question in Super-user Stack Exchange, and was hoping to get some help from you all. http://superuser.com/q/854997/86250 Stack Exchange is a really nice way to get questions answered, so perhaps it would be a beneficial place for questions like this.

Here's my question: How do I manually sync the Android Bible app with my Logos data in the cloud instead of waiting for recently purchased resources to appear?

I'm looking for a resource that I just purchased. I'm trying a reboot now. I'm glad that feature has been requested already. I'll look for a User Voice entry for it.
Roughly how long are you finding it takes new resources to appear?
I just bought the resource. It's been about 10 minutes now.
There is a recent discussion of this issue at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/94889.aspx - it looks as though there may be an issue which is being worked

Is there a User Voice suggestion for this already? Before I saw this post I added one, and I don't want to duplicate efforts. Here's my User Voice suggestion .

  • Re: how to search all encyclopedias for a word
Try using Quick Collections as described at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92688.aspx Use type:encyclopedia as the filter string and select your encyclopedia resources.
That's what I was looking for, thanks! And thanks everyone else for the other suggestions. What a great community!
Here is another 4.x e-ink coming down the pike. http://www.icarusreader.com
Unfortunately, it appears that it doesn't have the google play store on it. So far it seems the best option is the Onyx Boox T68 still. It is usable, but leaves a little to be desired in terms of quality. I really hope that we see more "open

Highlighting works but it's difficult. Honestly I don't really recommend the T68. Check the amazon reviews to see why. Unfortunately though, there's not much else out there. I would consider looking into the new Icarus ones. However, they're very new, so there's not much in terms of reviews of them. I'm really hoping we get some more quality options

  • Re: Logos 7 books to kindle paper white

Hi Josiah, I was sad to see the send to kindle feature go because I like to read on the kindle. I would rather read on epaper (kindle) than a backlit screen on a tablet. Especially at night when I can't sleep. I buy most of my non-reference books for kindle. However, sometimes Logos or paper are the only options. I finally bought a $100 Samsung tablet
