  • Disabling the Carousel Feature

When I am reading a resource, I sometimes like to use the down arrow key to scroll, but inadvertently hit a Left or Right key, which moves me to another resource. If I double or triple tap, I'm two or three resources away. I really never use the carousel feature in Logos--I don't browse my resources in that manner. Is there any way to shut it off, or

I could certainly live with this--if a hyperlink to the referent to the Ibid was made available so jut by hovering over it I could see it, or go to it if available in Logos.

If I'm reading a text, I see a footnote. If the footnote says "Ibid" page 27, I have no idea to what the Ibid refers. I have to find the previous footnote, but it might say "Ibid" as well. So I may have to search for a number of footnotes until one doesn't say "Ibid," but actually gives the resource location. Footnote markers are small in Logos, and

I would like to be able to build a bibliography within Logos where I can add resources that are not in Logos. Any bibliography I build in Logos will be incomplete. This would be a nice addition.

Instead of a footnote saying "Ibid" which makes it very difficult to locate the original source, could they all refer to the full resource? Given the size/type/colour of the preceding footnotes, it can make for a difficult hunt for the first resource note. This is especially true in that using Logos we are skipping between many resources and not reading

  • Re: Is this an error in the Hebrew language database?

Thank you for the reply, but I was wondering why a word study on שׁוב used examples (noted above) for the lemma, ישׁב. I can understand how one could be read in Psalm 23:6, but am perplexed as to why it is mixed this way in the database. Thanks, though, for the Goldingay reference.

  • Is this an error in the Hebrew language database?

I was looking at Psalm 23:6. The last line is, וְשַׁבְתִּ֥י בְּבֵית־יְ֝הוָ֗ה לְאֹ֣רֶךְ יָמִֽים׃ [Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia: With Westminster Hebrew Morphology., electronic ed. (Stuttgart; Glenside PA: German Bible Society; Westminster Seminary, 1996), Ps 23:6.] Logos tags וְשַׁבְתִּ֥י "and I shall dwell" as being of the root, שׁוב, "to return"

  • A question about morphological tagging

I was doing a search in 2 Corinthians for imperatives. I already created a visual filter that identifies imperatives in the NA28 when they appear in the ESV. I notice that in 2 Cor 5:17, the ESV is red and identifies as ἰδού, behold, and in the ESV shows that it is an interjection, verb, aorist active 2 pers. sing. In the NA28, it is identified

  • Re: "Most Recent Notebook" option missing.

It does help a lot. I thought I was missing something. "Most Recent" would be a good third option, but I can live without it. I'll probably use "no notebook" until I get used to things. I don't know what it would be involved, but if a tiny, bright red "8" could pop up over menu items that have changed, it would be really nice. I find it hard to get

Thanks--the actual name of the video is "Anchored to a Highlight." I added a snip from the screen:

Sorry--this is the MP Seminars site. There's really nothing "quick-start" about the Notes tool. It looks very promising, but it's a learning curve.

  • "Most Recent Notebook" option missing.

I'm using the Morris Proctor videos to try to understand Logos Notes. I am on video named, "Anchored to a highlight." According to the video, I am supposed to see, in highlighting, a drop-down option "Most Recent Notebook." I see "No Notebook" and "Current Notebook," but not the other option. Is this an option that has been taken away since the MP video

  • Geneva Bible

I have the Logos version of the Geneva Bible. Is there any hopes that it might be published with modern English word spelling? I can't get "into" the archaic spellings. I know that Tolle Lege has a pdf version out with modern spellings. Thanks

  • PBB not working

Good evening. I'm still getting into Logos 8 and haven't looked at my personal books yet. When I try to open them, I get an error message. When I try to rebuild the book, I get a message that I should close any programs that have the documents open. Any solutions? How do I find the updated resources in Logos 8? In Logos 7, it was shown on the home page, but I don't see that now. Thanks, all.

  • Need to add non-Logos titles to Bibliography

I'm trying to create a bibliography for a course I'm teaching. Most of my books will be from Logos, but some are not. I'd like to paste these titles from a Word document directly into Logos, but add "from clipboard" doesn't seem to get it. Is this the incorrect use of the feature?

  • Visual Copy in Logos 8

Maybe servers are slow because it's Saturday night and panic is setting in, as we all try to get a grip on Logos 8. I'm trying to make a slide using Visual Copy (Select, right-click, Visual Copy). I had it open a slide once, but as soon as I tried to change it a little, I just got the "wait" circle. I also could not change the slide from the one Logos
