  • PB results in Passage Guide only taking me to book's title page

Good morning, Logos world! I have a few PB's that are in my 'sermon outlines' collection and others that are calendar devotionals. When I search these collections for a Scripture passage, my PB's show up, but they appear greyed out. When I click on them, it takes me to the start of the book, rather than the location of my passage. I have tried inserting

concerning this bug fix - Personal Books Fixed bug that caused syntax, such as milestones and fields, to not be converted correctly by the tool and appear as typed in the compiled book. I believe I had this problem, where PB commentaries were displaying in-book the [[@Bible, etc. Do I need to rebuild the book to take care of this and (hopefully) have

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible. Strange - I did the manual update to SR-3 (I'm on beta channel, BTW), set the columns to one, closed and opened the book and it showed up with one column. Hoping this isn't a fluke!

Alabama, I only have Logos on one computer, one account. The only thing I sync to is the magic place where Logos backs up my notes, etc :)

  • Columns within a resource

I made an adjustment to one resource so that it displays multiple columns. It now defaults to 2 columns (as I set it to do). I would now like to make this resource default back to 1 column when I open it. I change the setting when the resource is open, but it doesn't seem to stick. Every time I reopen the resource, it goes back to 2 columns. Is there

Dave, Can you tell me where to find said "stable web link" that can get SR-1 for a beta channel guy? Thank you! Brian

  • Re: PBB Information

Gary, I remember learning that PB Commentaries get tagged in a special way (i.e. you have to mark all the passages by hand). Your book may "come up", but if it doesn't have the special tags for the passage you are looking up, it won't have any results to give you. Sorry if I don't have all the technical terminology right - it's late. :) Brian

Graham, I take it doing a basic search will be the only way to find stuff within PB's right now (as opposed to PG being able to find material)? My main focus has been PB'ing a lot of Spurgeon's sermons, and I would like SOME way to be able to find a sermon on particular texts. Now I know why I can't do it in my normal guide at least - thanks for that

  • Re: Indexer Crash - Possible New Info?

@Mark - have hope - I am doing the Rebuild Index now and it's lasted longer than it has (without error, I mean) since this problem began. Let you know if it lasts. :) @Kevin - My tech proficiency is definitely up there. I won't give you the resume and all, but I was an IT Consultant for 9 years before going into full time ministry. 5 mins in and the

  • Re: Indexer Crash - Possible New Info?

I completely disabled my virus protection. Opened task manager and ended any processes that looked remotely close to Logos (there were none). Opened Logos, the indexer tried to start right away, and the indexer failed about 10 seconds later. Ironically, Logos still works, but this obviously prevents it from making any effective searches on my new books

I shut down Logos, cleared all the log files, started Logos, indexer failed, and here's the only log that came up. 0003.Logos4IndexerCrash.txt

  • Indexer Crash - Possible New Info?

Good morning, I realize a lot of people are writing about the indexer crashing. I noticed it started happening 100 % of the time after I started making PB's. Don't know if that makes a difference, but I didn't want the idea to get missed. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: logos4indexer.exe Problem Signature 02: 4.30

  • Greek resource for a task?

G'morning, Is there a resource, or a way within Logos itself, to help me figure out which noun a pronoun is referring to? For example: Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be associated with them. Eph 5:6–7. I'd like to be able to tell what "them

  • Bug with passage list

Hello, When I delete a verse from a passage list via the X, it deletes the verse and then automatically goes to the top of the passage list. Unfortunately, the one I am editing has over 100 verses! I'm using Logos Bible Software 4.3 Beta 9 (4.30.0.0964), but this happened when my system was on Beta 8 as well. Blessings, Brian

  • Highlighting Passages That Are Referenced In Notes

Hey everybody, Is there a way to have my Bible highlight any of the passages that are referenced in a notes file? Allow me to expand... Say I have a note that covers Romans 6:1-4. The note icon only appears at the start of the first verse (Romans 6:1, in this case). Unless I open the notes file, I don't know that verses 2-4 are covered in that note

  • BUG - notes in COMPACT mode only displaying small handful of notes

I have tested this with multiple notes files. In FULL mode, I see everything fine. In COMPACT mode, it only lists 4-5 of my notes and if I scroll up or down, the notes file appears blank. Logos 4.3 Beta 4 (4.30.0.0441) Blessings! Pastor Brian
