  • Re: Copy Bible Verses tool, Windows 10, MS Word 2010 - problem

Thanks for your thoughts, Dave. But it's funny: due to the fact that I could no longer click, drag and drop data from Logos to BW, I was advised to run as administrator. Both do. I'm not really sure I understand what's behind your suggestions. It sounds as if you're saying, Remove all fixes, and it should be fine. But the fixes were applied because

Well, Dave, you're a Magic Man. It took a lot of fiddling, as I'd put on "as admin" on a couple of levels, but in the spirit of "what the heck?", I undid all the fixes. And now all's well. Go figure. Solved by a Windows update, or a BW update? No clue. When I worked in IT support, the ticket might have read "FBM." Meaning, of course, "Fixed By Magic

To add to my previous question: I notice that just now the Copy Bible Verses changes the font as well, as it had not done. Same questions. Is this the place to get these questions answered, as Paul L. White already has had his answered by Bradley Grainger, or should I ask somewhere else?

Thanks, Mike. I didn't feel Paul had hijacked the thread; I did wonder why he got a quick response, and so far Logos has given me none. To be clear: BEFORE: I select text and copy in any way (drag and drop, Ctrl + C, right-click and Copy), and when I paste it is in the target doc's font -- 12 pt Times New Roman in Word, 10 pt in BibleWorks. Now, the

Thanks for responding to this issue, which I share. But: 1. I don't think that works for drag and drop, which I use most often. And 2. It wasn't broke before. The update broke it. Logos should fix it, and not add multiple steps to what has been seamless for years and years and years.

DId for me. Randomly dragged and dropped from Pennington's Sermon on the Mount.

Also interested in the answer. Hopefully, Logos will either (1) return it to the previous function, or (2) provide that as an option. It's a step back to have to reformat every copied text now,not an improvement.

...and I'll raise that the text tool has also gone nuts. Note the two fonts when I use it to find text and copy to BibleWorks, and Word:

Here's another instance of the bug. Sure hope Logos is working on this new bug. Used the Bible verses tool to find and copy some verses from AFAT, and paste into BibleWorks. Here's what I got:

Oops, turns out even that Hebrew copying problem has not been remedied. I was prematurely optimistic.

Also, I see the previous reported issues are still not addressed. https://bit.ly/3d64Plr http://bit.ly/2KhRkDd Here's a text copied, and then pasted into BibleWorks notes. See how the first word is still in a different font, and the citation is still not Times New Roman:

I don't see a solution in 8.12 either -- though the Hebrew problem I reported above seems to be gone.
