  • Re: GUI problem: Displaying black on some tabs

I also have an ATI Radeon HD 5770 and have the same problem. I have not done anything yet to address the issue, perhaps updating to the latest driver will help. Is there anyone else out on the Forum with this same graphics card who has seen this issue and found a resolution?

  • Re: apologetic/scientific defense of the bible

Jonathan, there are competing viewpoints among Christians in the realm of Christian apologetics. For example, John Walton's viewpoint regarding Genesis 1 is his own. Other scholars disagree with Walton and point out that people in most cultures experience the world as a whole, they do not constantly separate the "material" and "functional" aspects of

Check out Jing, it can make videos of what you see on your monitor. Not sure about the audio part along with video, you may have to go to a Camtasia product as Rosie suggests. http://www.jingproject.com/

Logos, let's hear from you folks on this one! Many of us saw and feel just as Jonty is indicating and would like to know why no opportunity was provided to us as we esteem the NAC very highly. (Jonty, thank you for asking the questions!)

  • Re: Timeline for Daniel 9:24-27 (Non-Futurist View)?

Verse 27 in your passage becomes problematic when attempting a non-futurist view to include verse 27. The text in verse 26 demonstrates a gap between the 69th week of 7 years and the final 70th week of seven years, because just the time alone between death of Messiah, the Anointed One (@AD 30) and the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 is approximately

  • Re: Is there a way to...

I agree, in Logos 4 we need a way to display our Bibles verse-by-verse in any translation as a selectable reading preference. And with all the cross-references and notes still present (not stripped out).

  • Will the Upcoming Notes Importing Feature Work With Bible Resources Prior to DLS v3.0?

I began making extensive note annotations in my Bible (NASB95) prior to the release of Logos version 3. When Logos v3.0 came out a few years ago, I was one of those people who sadly discovered, once I updated to the NASB95 Bible for DLS v3.0, that my note annotation highlights were almost all relocated into entirely wrong locations throughout my NASB95

  • Re: Opinions/questions about notes

I have a very, very large number of annotation notes in my Logos NASB and pretty much do not regret doing so because it is more practical than any kind of hand-written method and much faster than making notes in some other word processor software. The main drawback issue for me is that when Logos upgraded or updated the Logos 3 NASB resource, the location

Keith, I responded to Tom, speaking from Logos 3, and he had some similar questions: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/5355/41781.aspx#41781 For your question #1, no, I have not seen an unmanageable performance hit in Logos 3, so I expect the same in Logos 4 once annotation notes are supported (see . I'd say, "don't judge a book by its cover" on this one. The Logos write-up on this seems to indicate more of a scholarly approach -- a very in-depth and thorough analysis of the usage of numbers in the Bible. It's over 3,800 pages and published in 1902: http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/4116

  • Re: Got a good Logos Resource???

From the Logos link that Rosie provided, a good collection that adheres to the traditional interpretation of six-day creation in the plain sense of reading the Genesis text is the Day One Creation and Science Collection . The books by Hugh Ross do not adhere to the traditional interpretation of creation, but the books by Dennis Gordon Lindsey do. In

  • Re: What should we have of Bible and Spade Magazine?

Yes, the Bible and Spade CD should give all the issues from 1972 - 2008 (except when no issues published 1984-1986). Those early issues from 1972 to 1983 are in TJL vol. 8; 1987 - 1995 are in TJL vol. 7, and 1996-2000 are in TJL vol. 6. But to get 2001-2008, you have to buy the Bible and Spade CD, in which case you also get all issues.

Dr. John MacArthur explains in his excellent MacArthur Study Bible commentary (available from Logos) that such expressions like this "were common in Semitic usage, and seldom were employed in a literal sense to specify precise intervals of time." See, for example, other expressions such as "forty days and forty nights" (an expression associated in the
