  • Journal of Ministry and Theology (2008, 2 vols) on Pre-pub

How many of you already have the first of the two volumes? I have the the first volume. If we only need the second volume, shouldn't there be a slightly lower price for Logos users who already have the first of the two volumes? http://www.logos.com/product/14981/journal-of-ministry-and-theology-upgrade

  • Re: Personal Book builder on the Mac

As an alternate, you can go with Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 because it supports the .docx file format, and the Word for Mac program has full parity with MS-Word for Windows. This should help ensure your Personal Books have the highest level of functionality. Check oput this review to learn a little more: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2369733

  • Re: Decrease your bid

I see a very small peak at $50 starting to form. I was at $30, but decided to raise mine to $50. I agree with others that if some or most of the resources are "outdated" and / or less highly regarded than the works of other authors, then a high price is not warranted, as the main value of this collection might be more for historical purposes rather

  • Re: NASB95 paragraph spacing

I've been reading the NASB for years, and in both my print versions and electronic versions I've never seen it formatted by paragraph. In other words, if the publisher never released it with paragraph formatting in the first place, then it may be doubtful that Logos could add that without permission from the publisher at a minimum and an agreement to

  • Logos book suggestion: "The Ancient Near East in Pictures"

The following tile would be valuable to have in Logos because it is referenced in various Logos Bible dictionaries, Bible encyclopedias, commentaries, etc. J.B. Pritchard, The Ancient Near East in Pictures , 2nd ed. (Princeton: 1969) Hardcover: 424 pages Publisher: Princeton University Press; 2 Deluxe edition (December 1, 1969) Language: English ISBN

It does not look like Barnes' notes have yet reached pre-pub status. Perhaps currently at 90%, but not yet at 100%.

  • Re: apologetic/scientific defense of the bible

Jonathan, there are competing viewpoints among Christians in the realm of Christian apologetics. For example, John Walton's viewpoint regarding Genesis 1 is his own. Other scholars disagree with Walton and point out that people in most cultures experience the world as a whole, they do not constantly separate the "material" and "functional" aspects of

Check out Jing, it can make videos of what you see on your monitor. Not sure about the audio part along with video, you may have to go to a Camtasia product as Rosie suggests. http://www.jingproject.com/

I also have an ATI Radeon HD 5770 and have the same problem. I have not done anything yet to address the issue, perhaps updating to the latest driver will help. Is there anyone else out on the Forum with this same graphics card who has seen this issue and found a resolution?

Why not follow the first item in this FAQ and make a backup of all your resource files? Once you have done that, and installed your new Windows 7, and installed Logos 4 you can copy the resource files over: http://wiki.logos.com/Installation_and_Indexing_FAQ's Since you are not faint of heart regarding replacement of your system board, there are more

  • Re: New Community pricing?

I hope that the dearth of resources in Community Pricing is not an indication that Logos is closing this program down due to low responses. Over the years we have been able to obtain some real "bargains". I think good marketing on the "value" of some of these titles gives a good boost, and I appreciate seeing at least one individual doing their own

I wouldn't expect anyone to "suffer" at this event, rather, I think the "supper" will out do all others!

  • Re: "after three nights and three days I will rise again"

Dr. John MacArthur explains in his excellent MacArthur Study Bible commentary (available from Logos) that such expressions like this "were common in Semitic usage, and seldom were employed in a literal sense to specify precise intervals of time." See, for example, other expressions such as "forty days and forty nights" (an expression associated in the

  • Re: Community Pricing Report

Jeremy, thank you. If you could place web links to each resource alongside each title in your report that you provided here, that would make it even easier for people to quickly enter and bid or change their bid on the titles they have an interest in.

  • Re: What should we have of Bible and Spade Magazine?

Yes, the Bible and Spade CD should give all the issues from 1972 - 2008 (except when no issues published 1984-1986). Those early issues from 1972 to 1983 are in TJL vol. 8; 1987 - 1995 are in TJL vol. 7, and 1996-2000 are in TJL vol. 6. But to get 2001-2008, you have to buy the Bible and Spade CD, in which case you also get all issues.

  • Re: Got a good Logos Resource???

From the Logos link that Rosie provided, a good collection that adheres to the traditional interpretation of six-day creation in the plain sense of reading the Genesis text is the Day One Creation and Science Collection . The books by Hugh Ross do not adhere to the traditional interpretation of creation, but the books by Dennis Gordon Lindsey do. In
