• Re: Fantastic 80% discount on Gundry's Commentary on the NT

Can anybody that owns the commentary recommend it as a resource for a wider (eg. beyond Evangelical) audience?
Awesome! I just purchased three other AYB books that were on sale: Romans, and two volumes of Mark. I will get them all slowly but surely!
Tempting, but I have a sort of rule that I won't buy books that are discounted unless they cost less or the same amount as the discount I'd get if I bought the entire collection
I think we could sum it up by saying that Pelikan's work should be of interest to all English-reading Christians .
Fine :-) If that's what it would do to get Pelikan's work into Logos, I'm all for it!
Yes, yes, yes! We've been requesting this for so long (since at least five years ago ). I'm guessing it's been hard for Faithlife to establish a relationship with University of Chicago Press. Otherwise we should have had this long ago.
A whole series of books by Brill? Hmmm, I guess I need to start making a list of the banks I need to rob to pay for it.
Ha! I'm glad that some others picked this up as was beginning to feel my suggestions were all falling on deaf ears. I can only hope that publishing a collection could perhaps make the work a bit less

  • Re: What happened to Ceslas Spicq’s The Epistle to the Hebrews!?!?!?

I had this on pre-pub too. Darn. I am guessing its lack of publication is due to some kind of internal resourcing issue which won't get further discussion in public. However, I do feel that if there were more academics on the site, from a wider range of traditions, Logos could become quite innovative and forward thinking in undertaking translation projects

  • [ACK] Factbook Outlines (bug... kind of.. ish)

Following a tip a day ago to try using the Factbook to obtain outlines of different biblical books, I tried this for Isaiah. I get the following results (on account of having the excellent Believers Church Bible Commentary in my library). I suspect it's happening because Logos automatically picks up each mention of the section heading "Outline", even
