Tommy Ball to the rescue! I sent him my logs and a few days later we talked on the phone and I let him work on my machine remotely, which took a while. I'll give it to Tommy, he is patient and persistent. He discovered that for some reason the problem was in my wifi router because when we plugged directly from the modem everything run fine! So I took

I had come to my wits end when Tommy came to my rescue! He's a great tech support professional. He solved my problem with one session after sending him my logs. Very friendly easy guy to talk to as well! Thanks, and God bless you Tommy! Dennis

Boy you guys lost me with all that! Anyway I just purchased my first Mac an iMac 27' i7 lastest model 12.2 which can run 32g of Ram which I installed myself and the system is recognizing it and using it so I dont have a hardware problem. I am new to Mac but loving it! Although I am not new to Logos I have been with them since the early days before logos

  • Re: Downloading Question

I just have logos parked right now and a few pages on safari and a couple apps and checked my activity monitor and it is pegging out the memory and swapping almost 6G to the drive; page outs are horrible, and I'm not even trying to work it. when I try anything much more I have to wait on the letters in a text field like this to catch up...

Thanks for the links! yes mine has four slots and according to the specs Intell gives and some other Apple tech folks it will run 32g. I'm hoping that will give my machine some breathing room and go on with my work.

2011 "Current" 27' iMac i7 3.4g 2600 Model 12.2 OWC and Cnet also some on Apple.com blog say it will run 32g. currently after an 11hour download on a fast internet and indexing logos slams my computer to a crawl. I bought it with the stock 4g of RAM because it is much less expensive to install it myself.

PRAISE THE LORD!!! It opened up and is running on my new iMac!!! It's still indexing though so the system is R-E-A-L-L-Y........ S...L...O....W.... It just has the bare minimum memory of 4g so I was going to max it out anyway myself; Apple charges way too much for RAM you can get it for a fraction of the cost els ware and installing it is no problem

well, I canceled the download and now it says it is "Preparing your library" which seems to be normal? should I just wait now? or is it still hung-up? at the same time I had downloaded the logging tool from logos and it may be running now I don't know because it said I must quit logos before starting it but I wasn't running logos???
