Hello David... I've been using Logos now for 30 years! When it first was released, it was a little bulky. Right now I use it daily. It takes my computer 15 seconds to load. That's why in the beginning, I knew that if I buy a regular PC, it would slow it down. So, I bought a gaming computer with powerful features like a good amount of memory. As for

  • I think I found a solution to the Book mark dilema...!

Several days ago I asked about the bookmark issue. Some in the forum spoke of the Favorites, Bookmarks functions. Only nine are available. After some thinking, I believe I found a work around to the issue of book marks. It seems to work great. It goes like this: For every book I am reading, I start a Clipping document. Then I highlight one word in the

That's OK, I've only been waiting for 25 years... When Jesus returns, maybe Logos might consider it. But... too late... Really... I don't see the problem with adding a feature like bookmarks within every resource. If Kindle can do it, why not Logos? Thanks. Al

Hello Phil, Having some kind way to bookmark the several resources I sometimes have open, within the resource would help, of course. My point is that in today's technology in software development, and in book platforms, bookmarks (within the resource), should be an elementary capability of the software platform. What is a book platform without bookmarks

Yes, I am aware of this type of bookmarks. It was my fault for not being more specific. I'm looking more toward the right click within the book: Add Bookmark. That's it. Using favorites, I have to move away from the book I'm reading. I understand that I have to go to the Favorite Panel. How about: Right Click Add Bookmark (within the book resource or

Hello... Just upgraded to L8. Let's see, what word to describe this software that's great. OK, can't find a word to describe this awesome software. I love it. Now, the software engineers in Logos did a wonderful job. Congrats to all at Logos. Now, the confusing part. How is it that such brilliant software engineers designed such a wonderful tool, did

  • Sympathetic Highlighting

Greetings... I tried to do a search in the forum for the topic, but keep getting an error message from Logos website. So, I will ask the forum. From the class OT281, there is a subject of Sympathetic Highlighting for the ESV and the LHB. I wanted to try it out, but here I find that in my bible versions ESV and LHB, the sympathetic highlighting option

  • A one click "Insert Bookmark"

When is Logos going to do as Kindle does? Insert a one click "Insert Bookmark" function so that one can jump right into the spot where last visited... Logos is already an involved software, why not simplify this activity??? Al Sosa

Thank you MJ. . . My machine has the power, I have 32GB of RAM, and two 27 inch monitors... I have already (to test my machine), opened over 50 books in one layout (not including notes, searches and other resources like media). And yes. . .I have used floating windows. In fact, this is all I use to manage my study session. So, it may seem that it is

Yes, indeed. I have a layout with over 30 books opened for my research and study. Having to do BM with several steps becomes tedious. With a one step BM it is easier, I think. Either way, I do use Layouts. And. . . talking about layouts, I wish to see one day that I can have several layouts opened at once also. Sometimes, I have to close a layout because

Thank you everyone who responded. . . I am aware of these steps. Maybe I'm being picky about my style of book marking, but I was more thinking in the notion of a right click and add book mark. That's it. One step. All these methods require several steps. Again, maybe I'm being picky. But when I read a book in another reader, all I have to do is right

  • Book Marks. . .

After using L7 and many of its features, indeed, this software has many really good functions. With all these features, I often wonder why Logos has not yet added the 'book mark' feature. Something like the Kindle books, where with one or two clicks, you have a book mark to come back to the spot of reading. Is there any reason why L7 does not have the

  • Visual Fiters. . .

In one of the L7 training video, the lesson of creating a visual filter is explained. I went through the process according to the steps given in the video. After creating the VF, the video says that I should be able to see my VF in my bibles. Well. . . after I did create the VF, nothing appeared in my VF button, when I clicked the button. It's not the

Hi Denise, I've tried to do as you and Dave have mentioned, but sometime the dragging and dropping does not work in my L5. Sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. This time around it did not work. So, I'm stuck with one layout and several floating windows which are unlinked. It can get crowded. And I have two monitors! It would be nice to just

  • Layouts and Sub-Layouts. . .

Greetings, Is there a way to create a sub-layout within a layout and link them together? In other words: I have a layout called: "Ephesians 1". I have a complete study on this chapter. I made a concentrated study on the word 'knowledge' within the chapter. I want to create another layout but still be within the first layout. So I have two layouts. The

Clint, Great feedback. I wrote some similar feedback. I like the 'Family Sub User Accounts'. I once suggested this in the forum, but got knocked down because of the license agreement, as I was told. I think 'Projects' is what I have suggested but as multi-layered layouts. Maybe it's the same. Either way, it's a great idea! Great post Clint. . . be blessed

Hello Jayson, I've written before, but now I am going to respond to your questions with some answers but I also have some other questions that you might be able to help. 1. Logos helps me fill the role of teacher, preacher, researcher, prophet and just simply the hunger I have for knowledge of God's word. I am a life-time student of the Word. Logos

Jayson, I cannot stay by the way side and say no-thing. The Lord has blessed me in the ministry of prophet, but also a teacher and preacher.I use Logos very much, it is my study tool that covers everything I can ask of it. I use it for about four hours daily after work. Sometimes I have to do some yard work and then back to the Word of God in Logos
