  • Re: Tell Us How You Use Logos!

Jayson, I cannot stay by the way side and say no-thing. The Lord has blessed me in the ministry of prophet, but also a teacher and preacher.I use Logos very much, it is my study tool that covers everything I can ask of it. I use it for about four hours daily after work. Sometimes I have to do some yard work and then back to the Word of God in Logos

Denise, Great point. . . Today the ministry of Prophets seems to be a thing of the eternal past. . . Well, it seems. . . God is of the present, not the past. He is 'I AM' !!! Not I WAS. . . not I WILL BE. . . The Lord still works 'now' in the present the very miracles and prodigies we read in the NT. It's too bad that some will locate God's awesome

  • Re: INDEXING again. . .

Hi Dave, I did as you instructed and I saw an error message in the event viewer concerning a bad cluster or a bad block on the HD. The location was Logos4\tyislwyw.14k\library~2\index.lxn file. I then ran CHKDSK and it fixed the problem. No more error messages. At least up until this moment. Thank you very much. . . Al Sosa

Hi Dave, Ah. . . I sort of asked the question the wrong way. . . :-) What I meant was what is it in terms of function: is it a hardware problem or software or firmware? I've never heard of it before. Your answer makes full sense. I did a re-install of the driver from the OEM disk, but it still does it. So, I am guessing that I might need to upgrade

  • INDEXING again. . .

Greetings to all. . . I've read several posts on indexing problems, but it being so large, and none of the read posts answered my question. A little background: I have a gaming PC to run my L5 and have 32 GB RAM, 3.4. My library is 5540 books. Indexing can become quite a task. (I do have resources to run L5 very well). Several days ago, I downloaded

Yes, I've tried it. It works well. I still need to brush up on this type of research, being that it's a little clunky, at least for me. But it will do well for now. I did a search but I did not get the expected output. But I will continue to refine my skills. Let's see how it will work out. I've done search with online bibles with highlighting with

This is great. Thank you. Gracias. Muchas Gracias. Now if we can only search these highlights without having the books opened where they are found. OK, let me explain. Sometimes I'm reading about 10 books and I find myself highlighting almost all of them. Time comes and times go. I forget what I highlighted and in what books. So I would like to see

Hi Dave, I spoke with Tech support and they could not explain the difference between the numbers. Although they did say that there is a difference between the online count and the library count on the PC and also between datasets and volumes or resources. It seems to me that I will have to do a screen shot every week just to keep a record of the number

Hi Dave, The folder location states that there is 4453 items. I contacted tech support by email. I have yet to hear from them. Even this number is greater than my library. Thank you. . . Eis Cristos Al

Hi I wrote the numbers from the library on L5. Usually I look at the resources because I want to make sure that it does not go down, but up. The library is not filtered in any way. I have 'not' hidden any resources. Last night I bought one book with four volumes and L5 did an update. After this event, the numbers changed. In fact prior to this event

Hello, Then how should I explain that my count several days ago did have about 4666 volumes? And now there are only 4372? I understand about the datasets, but how could it change in one day after an update? Eis Cristos Al

  • Missing 279 volumes. . .

Greetings, I have a question concerning missing volumes. I had 4667 volumes in my library a day ago. I recently purchased a work composed of several volumes, and also L5 had some updates to download. No problem. However, the website says one number and my library says another number: the difference is about 279 volumes less in my library. Website: 4651

  • Position Z of main Logos window. . .

Greetings, I've just upgraded to L5G. Everything worked beautifully, Praise the Lord. One thing: the main Logos Window where the HOME is located does not yield its Z position when I activate other windows. In other words, when I click on another window, the main Logos windows does not go to the back. It's always on top. Anyone has an idea as to what

OK, I think I misunderstood. Do I need to have installed L5 already for this update to take place? If so, then I will not see this update. I still have L4. Thanks. Al Sosa

M.J. I hear you. I thought, (I might not be up to date on these things), XML is already a smooth way for data integration. Something that can make Logos more portable, at least the data produced. Either way, it seems like Logos will not at this time design an integrated study environment. This would be outstanding with workspaces. Thank you. . . Eis

Alabama24. . . Yes, you're correct. My bad for being inconsistent with my words. I understand the problems with having multi-users in Logos. However, I wanted originally to have my wife and I as users within the environment of workspaces. This is what I was and have been trying to convey. My apologies for not being consistent. Indeed, I am not complaining

Joshua, I agree with you on the point of layouts. I use as much of Logos as I can. The more I use it the more ideas come up as to how to manage many resources. But you know, maybe one day Logos will allow the public interface API to be made available. I would be willing to develop something like this for my own use. I do this now for AutoCAD in my workplace
