Sounds very reasonable to me!
The only inconvenience of Snapshots is recognising what layout produced it from the lo-res image, otherwise there is the problem of knowing that you want previously used layouts to be updated on exit.
Which is why it should be a configurable option. • Re: Layouts and remembered places.

Thanks Dave, this does indeed save the layout automatically. While I wish this setting could be independent of making the layout the default start page, it does work well and so this is very helpful. I would definitely suggest for future updates that Faithlife add the option for all layouts to have their opened resources automatically updated with their

  • Re: Layouts and remembered places.

This was what I was hoping to avoid. I wish layouts were more about views and not a snapshot of everything including what page the resources are on (or at least an option). A layout where the resources remember the last place they were when I exit the program would be very valuable.

  • Layouts and remembered places.

I use a layout for my daily Bible reading. Unfortunately, the layout always starts back at the point in the Bible where I created the layout rather than the last position read. Is there a way to have a layout's open resources always remember the last position without having to update the layout every day? Right now I am using bookmarks as a workaround

  • Re: Perpetual "Preparing your library" and "Updating library catalog"

I have been getting the "preparing your library" staying up for 5-10 seconds each time I start Logos for while now even when no resources have been added. I assumed this behavior was from one of the recent updates and have been hoping it will be addressed soon, but it could be some kind of resource issue.

  • Re: Help Moving Logos to External SSD Drive

You also need to keep in mind that no matter how fast the external drive is, it will be severely limited by the interface it is plugged into. Even USB 3 is vastly slower than any internal drive interface (400-500 mBps for old Sata III). Most USB 3 devices in real use do not even reach 100MBps (most are half that at best) , so you are looking at a serious

Has this been addressed, or are we still unable to edit the default guide. I want to change the default passage guide, but haven't been able to get it to work.

  • Re: Collection rules for sorting commentaries

Currently on 8.3 and still not seeing any but 2 of the commentary lists (one volume & expository). Still wondering if there is something I can do to 'purge' the deleted list. I'd really love to have this working again.

  • Re: Where's Waldo? Please Fix the Zoom level in Biblical Places Maps

I don't use the atlas much because every time I have tried it by clicking on the icon in a text, it seems to show nothing. Perfect example. I was reading in the ESV John (7:9) and came across an atlas link to the life of Christ. When I clicked on the link it opened a new window with a nice big gray map of nothing. Absolutely no use whatsoever. Shouldn

  • Re: Ideas for Book Reading List

Lots of good ideas. I'm particularly intrigued by the idea of a favorites list. I really have to stop thinking of that feature as favorites and instead something like the "organizer" because that's really what it seems to do. I tested and see that I can create quick reading list folder and then drag books to it from my library. I can even reorder them

  • Ideas for Book Reading List

Since I seem completely unable to stop buying new books, I find I have a rather large number of books in my virtual to read pile. Sometimes I buy a new book and want to put it near the top of my books I want to read, which got me wondering if there are any clever ways in Logos to create a flexible reading list beyond a basic note with all the books

  • Re: More books, faster, better pricing
Thanks for the feedback, Rob. I completely agree we need to solve this. I’ve outlined these (among other) priorities for 2019: Significantly grow our digital book catalog. Make new books available at the same time as their print and Kindle release. Make them discoverable from a single store. Make them available

  • Re: Questions about the Atlas

It seems the atlas markers are placed next to individual city names and so I would expect them to center on that city (Biblical place object) that the marker was adjacent to in the text. Strangely, when I went back to look at this again today, all the atlas markers are gone from that passage, even though Logos is set to display in the visual filters

  • Re: Problem with Monthly classic book coupon

I missed the obvious. The monthly email had the same code listed for both original and classic and I was just copying and pasting them without checking them. I change the code to classic and it worked, thanks!

Still no go. Trying to use it on Spurgeon's Matthew commentary: https://www.logos.com/product/6797/the-gospel-of-the-kingdom-a-commentary-on-the-book-of-matthew This should qualify, but just says invalid code. Is there a way to verify my code is still available to use?

  • Problem with Monthly classic book coupon

Hello. It's that great time of the month when I get to dig through the classic works and find a gem to use my connect classic book coupon on. Sadly, this month the coupon doesn't seem to be working. I've tried several books from the list (linked via email) and all show invalid code. I had no problems with my current book of the month coupon. Is anyone

  • Questions about the Atlas

Hello. I was reading through 2 Timothy 4 today (ESV) and noticed several Atlas markers because of the several cities listed in that chapter. Out of curiosity (Having never done much with the Atlas before), I clicked a couple of them to see what opened. Each time the Atlas opened with the current verse populated in the search, but the map just opened
