• Re: I could use some help with Notes please

This certainly helps me and is very much like what I was in hoping to find. Everything in Logos 8 is starting to come together nicely for me and I am very happy with even the partial knowledge I have gained about what Logos 8 offers. I will have to say though that 'favorites' is probably about the worst name possible that could have been chosen for

  • Re: I could use some help with Notes please

Thanks all, this thread has been immensely helpful in figuring out the new notes system. One thing I'm thinking through is how I might handle organizing a larger research project. Let's say I am doing a study on a broad topic such as sanctification. I imagine I would have at least one related passage list, lots of clippings and perhaps some documents

Excellent! I somehow missed that before. This gives me the confidence to bacon the long process of tagging note and highlights for the future.

Sorry for the double reply. I received an error on the first one so I did not think it managed to post.

No, not really. A passage list gives me the ability to use my logos resources and integration in an efficient and effective manner. A word document means I have to do a bunch of copying and pasting to accomplish anything with the data other than simple distribution. The real power of filters is finding a set of desired data and then being able to use

  • Re: Working with Note Filters

If that is the only option, then I would say no. Spending time tagging and sorting to then have to export to an outside program to do something useful with the results would not be particularly valuable or worthwhile considering the investment in Logos resources I want to use the data with. Once the data goes outside Logos, that dramatically limits

  • Re: Working with Note Filters

Two examples would be to create a passage list or a document. I can definitely see this being useful as part of a research project on a larger topic.

  • Working with Note Filters

Hello. I've been exploring the new notes system to get to know it and have a question about filtered results. I see definite value in tagging notes and being able to group and categorize them in searches and such based on filters. After I have a applied one or more filters to achieve a list of results, I'm not sure what I am able to do with them from

  • Re: Collection rules for sorting commentaries

I deleted all my existing ones in the tool as per the suggestion in the collections group but now none of yours show up in the public list for me to re-add them. Is there some kind of index or other way to purge them out? I have verified when I edit a passage guide that under collections, none of them show up there as well.

  • Re: Collapsed Passage Guide Entries incorrectly show no results

Here is an initial image of a passage guide result. Notice Thematic Outlines and Important Words are labeled as having 'no results'. After expanding these objects it is clear there are actual results: Based on these results, which I can reproduce at will, something isn't right. I have customized the passage guide if that makes any difference.

  • Collapsed Passage Guide Entries incorrectly show no results

I've noticed on several occasions when I run a passage guide and the sections are collapsed, there is sometimes the 'no results' label showing when there are in fact results. If I expand the section the label disappears and results appear. If I collapse the section again the 'no results' label does not reappear. It would be nice if this label was reliable

  • Re: How to change Text Comparison Tool default

You are correct, Graham. Though it was interesting to follow Mike's steps. Felt a little like old video game cheats where you have to get the sequence exactly right! Up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A etc...

  • How to change Text Comparison Tool default

I'm not sure if this is new to Logos 8 or not but I can't seem to find how to change the default versions that the Text Comparison Tool uses. I noticed this when exploring the Basic Bible Study workflow and when I hit the 'compare Bible versions' link the comparison tool opens with the same versions no matter what previous ones I set and saved. I've

  • Notes Don't Show on Multiple Resources Display

Hello. I started experimenting with the new Notes system and noticed when I have a resource open as secondary resource on a 'Multiple Resources Display' the note icon does not show up. If I open the resource fully, the note icons are visible. Is this by design? It would be nice to be able to see the presence of notes in this view. Thanks!

Are there any videos to show it in action? That would really help us be ready (and hopefully excited) for what is coming =)

  • Re: Customize search type list

I've used that space for many other shortcuts and it can get a little unruly. Having this in the searches area would just be a nice, intuitive option that would make sense to most people. More interface customization would be a nice addition for version 8 when it comes out.

  • Customize search type list

Hello. I was performing some searches today and wondered if the list of search types could be customized. By list of searches, I mean the list of types that appear in the search window (Basic, Bible, Media, etc...) as seen below: I know you can select everything and make a bunch of changes to an individual search, but it would be great to be able to
The Surface Go is limited to 64 GB of onboard memory (expandable with SD Card). In order to work well, Logos needs to be installed on the onboard memory.
This is not correct. The base model is 64GB, but you can get a higher model that offers 128GB onboard storage along with an upgrade to 8gb ram (from the base 4GB

  • ESV Study Bible missing milestones to introduction content

I've noticed that the ESV study Bible seems to be missing references to the introduction sections of Books of the Bible. If I open a Bible to the beginning of a book, such as Romans, The study Bible correctly follows to that section. If I scroll back up to the introduction of the Book in the Bible, the ESV Study Bible does not follow. If I do the exact
