  • Re: Pericope Only List/Display

I have already looked at this and cannot get what I want from it directly. Display is too awkward. I would like to use a visual filter to just display the pericopes on ESV bible, not showing bible text. This would give me a quick clean and short list. Or is there a query that could be run.

  • Pericope Only List/Display

Is it possible to display just the pericopes in bibles that have them, ie ESV I would also like to create a list of pericopes and show the verses that goes with them. Any ideas?

Noticed the plugin has not been updated on WordPress Plugins for over 2 yrs. Have the updates mentioned above been added Reftagger, and when would plugin be updated on WordPress? I have modified version I was given but it has error on var defines that I noticed when I created a child theme and the error was triggered.

Could this be something that a plugin could do? Could this be some inline code added within the page HTML? If so I could make a shortcode that inserts the inline code.

Brandon, Is the page level scanning somewhere outside the plugin, like in the javascript found at //api.reftagger.com/v2/RefTagger.js ? Bill

Thanks for the update.... works great, easy to use. This is essentially a start/stop code and can be used that way. One other scenario with a shortcode. That is the one where you do not want ANY scanning done on a page. Say add a shortcode such as [noreftagger-scan] to the front of a page and it would prevent a page from being scanned or scanned from

Started testing your update. Suggest using longer more descriptive labels on various items with examples. See the old options clip above in my old post. Especially the case sensitivity, tool tip, chapter level tagging descriptions. Suggest adding tag examples to the right of the box, especially the ones show in the old settings as check boxes, ie bold

Brandon, There used to be a bit of code to allow a user to set his own prefered version of bible. I think it was called control panel and could be put in a side widget on joomla or wordpress. Found it on one of my old sites. That would also be a great feature for site like mine that are training sites and each use could have own prefered version. I

Just downloaded it and replaced the old one on one of my sites. Will test is out when get the chance. Thanks for upgrading it. Another suggestion that would help. Adding a class requires a little advanced html knowledge and coding skills. It;s a great workaround, but for easy of use, could you make a shortcode to use when bypassing scanning? Need a

Brice I once pulled the js file imbedded in the page source. I found the scripe by showing page source on one of my pages and found following in script at bottom of page. g.src = '//api.reftagger.com/v2/reftagger.js'; I put the address in web browser and it displayed the compress js file, I selected all, copied and pasted in the following site to beautify

Are there plans for keeping the plugins updated? Clearly the settings are outdated and do not reflect what is currently available on the reftagger.com/customize/ page.

  • RefTagger Settings Name

Does anyone know where to get a complete list of the settings names that are passed to the reftagger code? Also would need the possible values for them if available. It is the setting you get from the copied code from the reftagger.com/customize/ page. See snipet of the code below. var refTagger = { settings: { bibleVersion : "HCSB", noSearchClassNames

  • Re: Reftagger - Prevent Tagging of a Verse

Found a plugin that adds that type code to be able to do that. Will check it out, but will also look at the site for the markup. I went to the reftagger setting in the wordpress plugin and they do not match those on the custumization page. This is the settings for the plugin. They are different and do not have the Classes to Exclude which I could use

Those are the global settings. I am refering to inline shortcodes that would allow you to make a section of text be bypassed by the scan. That is what was on the old site. There also an inline code to wrap around ie. "see verse 1" and you would specify the verse in the shortcode wrapping that text.

  • Reftagger - Prevent Tagging of a Verse

I cannot find any documentation that tells how to prevent tagging for a section of text on a post. There used to be some special shortcodes that prevented a page from being tagged, or a section of a page. Does anyone know where this is documented. The old reftagger website used to have this info on it. If it is out there, it should be added to the new

Tom I noticed something curious when experimenting ... I have a very long scripture reference and get the same results.... But I noticed if I click on far right of link, the popup show as it should. If I click near left of link, the popup shows AND the external page opens... What I think is happening is that the touch time is causing first the popup

That was it. Thanks. My laptop battery had died and I think that it may have abruptly shutdown. That might have been the cause, but none the less. I will have to remember this fix.

  • AMP Not Available WHY?

Does anyone know WHY the AMP version is listed a being available on RefTagger but does not work when it is selected. I have not been able to find anything on the forums.
